Trainstock 14 will be happening on Saturday January 14,2023  at the NJ HiRailers Train club from 10am until whenever pm.  For those that have never attended a Trainstock it is an OGR forum party.  All are welcome as well as their families.  Bring some trains to run on our layout and enjoy a day of peace, food and trains away from the hectic days of your life.    Our address is 185 6Th avenue  Paterson NJ 07524 on the third floor.   There is a parking lot across the street for our use.   If you have any questions you can ask here or email us at NJHIRAILERS@yahoo.com

We have tons of new things to see on the layout.  Some of them are Marty Fitzhenrys stations and buildings, the Empire State building and about 40 new craftsman buildings built from kits or scratch  One of our members has transformed the operating coal loader from AAA into a work of art instead of a big round tube

Of course we will feed you like there is no tomorrow  We will need to charge 10 bucks for adults to enter but your children will be free.  This is to offset SOME of the cost for filling your belly.  We will also have soft drinks as well as beer on tap and wine.

This year we will definitely need to know who is attending to plan for the food and drink  Please just respond on this thread with how many will attend

There will also be some giveaways as well as raffles for some pretty nice items that will look great on your layout  We will have the official hat for sale

This is the hat logo

Tiny layout. They magnetize the photos about 100x!!

Much better layout at my club. Only drawback is it is about 15 times smaller than this tiny layout in Paterson, NJ.
But in all seriousness, if you have not visited the NJ Hirailers yet, this is a must-see layout. Millions of dollars invested here in the country’s largest O gauge layout.
IT IS HUGE and their club members are all great folks to know!

I will be putting together a list of OCSMR club attendees for Trainstock.

Looks like a great time - jealous.

730 miles and 11+ hours for me.     Too bad I can't make it a business expense - Mapquest says that the IRS reimbursement would be $472 each way.

Wish it wasn't in January - reluctant to book a flight due to uncertain weather that time of year.

One of these days...  (That's what I said about riding the East Broad Top, then they went dormant for 10 years.)

Sunny and 70 degrees? Now that I'm in Florida for the winter, I get the 70 and sunny. But I miss Trainstock. If you've never been there or its been a couple of years, you really ought to see the layout and partake of the food and drink. The hospitality is superb and the layout is --- well, it's just THE BEST!!! Hope you get at least 60 and sunny for Trainstock.
