Does anyone have experience with the Tsunami decoders running a smoke relay circuit? The Soundtraxx technical bulletin shows a basic circuit to simply assign an "on-off" to the smoke circuit (fan and heat) but it just connects power variable with the throttle.

I'm wondering if there's a way to assign two outputs from the Tsunami board. One is an on-off through a relay for the heating element and connect that through a separate CV board, and then assign a separate output through a different relay that is timed to pulse the smoke fan at the same rate that the chuff runs in CV 114?

The chuff rate is calculated by the decoder using back EMF, not the flywheel encoder.

Would it be easier just to get a super chuffer to control the smoke? I would be trying to use a converted PS2 smoke unit.

Thanks!
