Was able to find some info from older posts but unable to respond/ask questions directly, no new posts allowed.

Unfortunately I have requested info from Lionel, wiring and Molex type connector availability, but only getting silence.

Also one of the parts needed is not shown/listed on their parts breakdown. The missing part is a small right angle bracket that gets attached to the chassis so the PCB holder/bracket mounts parallel to the chassis. Will make one from Plastruct pieces if unable to find the right part.

Anybody have any info or part availability for the connector ?

Started this way back when but as usual life can screw up the best laid plans.

Thanks in advance for any info/help.

The connectors are JST-PH 2mm connectors, the part you need is: JST PHR-2, note the contacts you'll need are at the bottom of the page.  Of course, you'll need a crimp tool to assemble the cables, I use the Engineer PA-09 Crimp Tool, it's useful for most of the connectors used by Lionel, including the 2.5mm, the 2mm, and the 1.5mm connectors.  Failing the crimp tool, they conveniently have pre-crimped wires available, LEAD SKT-SKT 24AWG BLK 12" TIN, probably a cheaper option if you don't do a lot of connectors.

Well, the Digikey parts will get there in a couple of days, the Chinese parts in about a month.  Since the Digikey shipping charges for small orders are only about $3, the price is pretty much the same.

Chinese jumpers: $4.50

Digikey Parts: (4) contact wires: $1.80, (2) connector bodies: $.20, shipping: #3.00, total of $5.00

No doubt which option I choose, I hate waiting weeks for a project to complete.
