Absolutely fantastic!

That hand made GG1 is an example of true craftsmanship, diabolical drive and all, and the Scale Craft consist is something to behold. The smooth running characteristics of the entire train are really impressive.

I pay attention to all your vintage train posts and I have to say that of all the great operating collections that appear here, yours is the one I'd most like to see.

Keep these great finds and great posts coming.

Hello all thank you for your kind words fun sharing toys I have written some articles in the past for TCA I just need to be a little more disciplined and find some time and start hammering out some more articles the GG1 does run very smoothly however it's none too happy with my 48 inch radius . If you look very carefully at the curves the pilot in front drivers climb the rail but after the engine and the layout got used to each other they seem to tolerate one another my Outer Loop will check it up to about 54 in radius which will make it much happier

The cars have the early scalecraft trucks so they may look like six wheel trucks but they only have four actual Wheels what does Wheels have roller bearings and they roll really nice they were incredibly expensive at the time but a good investment

Cheers Carey

I noticed the pilot wheels creeping up, but didn't think anything of it.  You sure have a lot of outside-third-rail track!
