Got my new Vision Line GS-4 #2031520 on Friday. I was running it checking that all of the features worked ok. Using a Cab-2 I found that when I push Aux1 plus #2 (crew fuel level) or #5 (shut down) I get a loud beep instead of the crew talk. All other sounds work fine during the beep. Beep ceases when the crew talk should have ended. Has anyone else had this issue? Hope there is an easy fix.

Is have the GS-1 version. It works fine.
Mine is to be delivered ~Wednesday this week. I'll have to check it out right away.
My GS5 did the same thing. Did a engine reset and it took care of the problem. The reset procedure is in the manual.

What transformer were you using?
Contact Lionel support. I had the same issue on the GS-1.
What did Lionel say?
Vic Was using powerhouse 180's with Legacy powermaster 360.
I got the GS-4 from the stock express set and when I fired it up for the first time (and subsequent times) there is a noise that the tender makes that is concerning to me. However I’m not sure if it’s supposed to happen or not. It’s very faint (although def still audible) and is tough to describe in writing. It’s like an “err.... err, err, err... err, err... almost like it’s sending out a faint Morse code signal... I’m using a KW transformer and have no issues with other engines I put on the track... any thoughts?

That pulsing noise is normal, but annoying. Its more noticeable with these new electronics. Ive heard it before on all of the RS-Lite boards from the last generation of electronics.
I am using a ZW-L with a Legacy Cab-2. I called Lionel. They suggested that I delete the GS-4 from the Cab-2, readdress the engine and do a reset. I did without any success. The loud beep on the crew talk is still there. I guess I’ll call back today to get an RA.

My VL Big Boy has one clip that does that. I never got it repaired. I'd definitely get a RA. It seems things are starting to get easier in contacting Lionel.
Yes. Lionel Service is easy to contact. It has not been more than a 10 minute hold.
They asked me to send a video of the engine showing the problem, which I did. I’m now waiting for a reply.

When the board was flashed with the sound file. It must have gotten corrupted. Its missing that sound bit for that button/sequence slot within the entire sound file package. Ive seen it before on other boards other than from Lionel.
