I'm looking for a Lionel 4-6-2 Blue Comet Pacific #833. I currently own #831 and all the passenger cars but its time to upgrade the locomotive. I'd like to sell off the 831 and replace it straight out. So if your looking to get rid of yours and wouldn't mind just selling the 831 a trade would be really nice!! Alternatively I can purchase it and sell of the 831 on my own.

Stout Auctions has one in their June 10th Auction.
I was watching it on Stout’s site. I was watching a number of lots until the BC came up. I was surprised at what they were getting for some items and all were run. Some went for double the estimate.
I wish I had thought of them when I was selling my excess. I would have gotten a lot more.
The Blue Comet that sold, #833, sold for $825 plus Buyer’s Premium and all applicable taxes fees shipping etc. I don’t think that’s a bad price by any means given the rarity of the engine. I do agree, some items were getting insane money, but others were somewhat reasonable.
