I am looking at providing my Williams diecast Scale Hudson with a set of larger front pilot wheels, but don’t want to lose the existing small ones, because their purpose is obvious.

I see two options. One is to provide a spare front pilot with the slightly larger, polished-tyre wheels used on the older, brass models (actually the front wheels on early-90s MTH or K Line locos look better, too). The other is to provide a spare front pilot fitted with new wheels, which I’ve now identified a source for (Lowmac wheels from various O Gauge suppliers, for any U.K. readers).

so I’m looking for a Williams, or Williams-compatible front pilot frame. I do have what appears to be a complete Lionel front pilot truck which came in the box with the loco, but it clearly doesn’t fit - the mountings need minor modification, which isn’t a great problem; but the wheelbase is too long, which IS a problem.

I could probably buy this from a supplier like Trainz but shipping, etc means it would end up costing about $60 delivered, so I’m looking for one from a private seller?
