Hello all ....some nice pieces all from a huge layout in Ohio .... these are modeled after Frank Ellison's  Delta Lines pieces ...not originals ...Frank inspired many folks to build models from his articles / book ....

I was  fortunate to pick up a copy of Hap Hazard packing to go between the original   OB Long Box Co and Canning Co. .....also a copy of Spot Cash ( which was a commercial kit ) to sit next to original Ellison  Hamm Berger Packing House .

Does anyone know the modeler in Ohio who built all the buildings ?

Cheers Carey

The late Fred Dole, perhaps?

The orange building appears to have been constructed from a November 1954 Paul E. Larson (long departed editor of "Model Railroader" from about 1955-1961) article describing a tobacco warehouse he found in, of all places (!), Evansville, Wisconsin.  Surprisingly, a fair amount of tobacco is grown in that area and was dried in big warehouses, such as this.  Paul Larson's model of the structure had a prominent position in his "Mineral Point & Northern RR" layout.
