Weaver 3 rail arch bar trucks

No comments or feedback on this from anyone.  Is this an impossible find?

I had a lot of Weaver stuff over the years and followed their line as much as I could.   I don't ever remember them doing an Archbar truck.    I don't ever remember seeing anything other than a bettendorf style truck.

I can't think of a weaver car that an ARchbar would have been used on commonly.

Athearn made/makes Bettendorf, Andrews, and Archbar trucks.   Currenly I think they are all made with Delrin style engineeing plastic with metal axles.    They mount at the same height with the same size screws as WEaver at least for 2 rail.    Prior to Delrin, Athearn made diecast trucks, but that is way back.    You would only find them at shows now in old collections.

Intermountain metal wheelsets are a drop in fit and create a fairly heavy truck.   In my opinion this is a much better truck than all diecast.    All the diecast trucks I have dealt with, older issues, have not rolled nearly as freely as delrin trucks.

Agree.  Other option are brass trucks......like Yoder or PSC

Yes, they did at one time make/offer an archbar truck. In fact they made die cast archbar trucks for 2- and 3-rail.  AND, they made those versions in coil and leaf spring versions, too!!

Per the price sheet in my Weaver 2008 catalog (random grab from my old phart's archive), they were as follows:

P748  2-rail Die Cast Archbar Trucks (1 pair)

P749 3-rail Die Cast Archbar Trucks (1 pair)

P751 2-rail Die Cast Leaf Spring Archbar Trucks (1 pair)

P752 3-rail Die Cast Leaf Spring Archbar Trucks (1 pair)

The 3-rail trucks were also available with 'lobster claw' couplers under stock numbers 750/753, respectively.

I've left off the 2008 MSRP $$$ for the above...It's enough to cause weeping, wailing, gnashing of teeth, etc., that we didn't have the foresight to 'stock up' our own workshop supplies!

And, you're right...It's not apparent to me from the car listings in the same catalog how/where that vintage of truck design might have been factory-applied/offered by Weaver.

But, like their also-listed Allied Full Cushion Trucks...gooooood luck trying to find some!  All of their die cast trucks were excellent.  IMHO the easiest/best for equipping some of the old wood/metal car kits from a bygone era.  Except for MTH stepping up to continue making Weaver's Bettendorf and Roller Bearing 3-rail trucks, the other tooling probably serve as sampan anchors by now...very sad and unfortunate for us all.
