Gave a Weaver C630 to a young fellow and of course its not running correctly! Perhaps some one can help. Itis a 3 rail version/.  The horn blows/buzzes continually and it will run in one direction only!  His father is using a Lionel KW  transformer!  Thanks in advance!!

Before Lionel modular boards, these boards were removed from models, before TMCC upgrades.  QSI boards were used in Weaver models.  QSI is still in business.

I don't have these boards. I posted this picture, many years ago, and a forum member ask for them.  Usually, the piggy-backed boards, were from a model that had sound.  ???Horn continuous, would indicate the motor not turning???. At the time, there was the "Three clangs of death", mode. Best of luck with your project.  Mike CT.

Hi Mike,

I have two new/old stock Weaver C-628's on the way.  The stickers on the boxes say they are QS-1 sound compatible and have an electronic horn.  Is the upper board (which I assume has the sound) piggy-backed to the lower QS-1 sound compatible board in the engine?  Is this plug and play or does it involve soldering wires if I were to find an upper sound boards?

Any replies and advice would be appreciated.

The horn board just plugs into the DCRU if you find the original QSI horn board.
