Yesterday I got two weaver Lehigh Valley GP38-2s. Two of the units have couplers that are broken. And by broken I mean the glue or whatever held them together has worn off.
The front and rear handrails on the units are either missing or broken. I heard rumors that when weaver closed a lot of parts were bought by people. I just thought of them as rumors at the time but now I'm looking for parts.
Any help would be appreciated.

Do they have a website I can order parts on? Worlds greatest hobby is this weekend. Might have better luck there.
P&D Hobbies has a website and has had a large stock of Weaver parts. He especially has a of the mechanism parts for the single motor drive mechs. he has had handrails and body parts in the past. http://www.pdhobbyshop.com
Universal part (assuming these are not the early GP38 with fixed pilots) - You can use Williams Couplers.
Surprised this morning, hadn't touched these Weaver B&M F units engines in years and to my surprise one of their couplings was laying on the track! OK it got broke somehow but no here is another checked all three units and the same, no good. I see weaver is out and there are or may be places that handle some parts but I don't want the same parts with defects in design or material. I would think others might have had the same problem. Bought these in 2008.
Are they diecast? If they are all broke sounds like Zinc pest.

See if you can get one glued together and get the dimensions, hopefully a suitable replacement can be had.

Many years ago I built a computer model of an old Lionel truck, looks like I can modify it the Weaver dimensions giving a true model of that bad coupling. Then either find one to match or get the model made by some means ie: 3D metal printing or a very good nylon etc. There is at least one that is still intact because the piece it is screwed to broke (see picture)
, so all of them would also have to be replaced.
Lionel has many dummy couplers. I would suggest trying these. It would be a matter of drilling a new hole with counter bore and cutting off the excess.

Looks like two different problems: Some broken couplers and some of the mounts that the couplers attach to are broken.
Replacing the couplers will be the easy part. For example, Williams makes a short dummy coupler. Look at eBay 392546290520 and 392536187276
Replacing the mount that attach the couplers to the truck will be the tough part.

You are right on that, I haven't yet checked out that other part yet. Thanks for the heads up on the ebay parts. The other thing is I'll need 6 of each as I have 3 units.
