Bobby i would replace the couplers with weaver plastic couplers . The weaver die-cast couplers are nothing but problems and there is some forsale on the forsale forum and somebody may send you some.
Bobby does this tank car have die-cast trucks on it now. The only thing you have to do is change the couplers assy. out. They will work on plastic or die-cast trucks. I had to change some on my weaver cars with die-cast trucks to plastic couplers because the die-cast couplers has problems not opening up far enough to couple or uncouple and there is a screw in bottom of truck that comes out real easy then you can change coupler. Then when you put screw back in don't tighten up all the way or truck will not turn.
