Has anyone installed a decoder in Weaver RS-3? Recommendations please

I did years ago to an original horizontal drive unit. (you didn't indicate whether yours is single or dual motored) I built it with twin towers so inside room was limited. At the time sound decoders were scarce in O scale. I used a NCE408 and Sountraxx DSX married together.
Later projects of that engine for others had various manf. decoders. Most of them were single tower so there was more room for a larger format decoder.
The single motored unit doesn't require a high amperage decoder. 2-3 amps is sufficient. A LokSound or SoundTraxx decoder will fit nicely. Provided they offer the correct prime mover.
NCE D408 decoders are an easy install in Weaver RS-3's. I've done at least a half dozen.
Thanks for the replies - must get to it soon Brian
I have about 8 WEaver single motor RS3s and FAs that I have installed NCE D408SR decoders. One thing I learned was that with DCC the voltage to the lights is a little higher and the bulbs get hot enough to craze the plastic lenses. I have replaced the bulbs with LEDS. I had to replace a bunch of the lenses.
