I am considering a project in which I would need to modify the above car-it would require removing the top of the car. I cannot be sure when looking at pictures whether the Weaver PS2 covered hoppers can easily have that done. Can someone with any of those cars care please check and tell me-thanks, turtle7

The whole car body can be removed from the underframe only.
To remove the top you would have to find a way to carefully cut the plastic.
Perhaps someone with a CNC Laser Cutter can laser cut the top off cleanly.
