For quite a few of us this has been our first snowy day.

Here's to thoughts of summer at the beach, as we wait for a Budd car to take us to Cape May.

There have been a lot of innovations that go unmentioned on the forum. This is one of them. MTH and Lionel would do well to look at how Atlas painted (I don't think it's plated.) this engine.

Western Pacific F3's had a lower stainless panel that started just behind the door. If you look at the photo closely, you'll see how Atlas replicated the stainless panel by using two different colors of silver. If you could see the engine in person, the panel looks plated. Atlas did a great job. I'm sure that the next offering of Atlas Santa Fe F3's or F7's will benefit from the same treatment. I still don't know if it's plated or painted but it looks GREAT!

This picture is proof that a Lash-Up between Legacy (UP) and TMCC (BNSF) is possible. With Legacy in the lead.

Few pictures from today at the train showing at the Kennesaw Train Museum were the General is housed. A great turn out.

Also got my birthday present early. It is a trumpet/flugelhorn case.


Art- great weathering! I love the faded Penn Central lettering on the gray hopper.
