What are the odds when you cut a hole in the wall for a tunnel that you would find a stud?

How about 3 studs?

Let's see your pictures.

I just got back to the Train Room from Colasanti’s Market in Highland, Michigan. This is a fun store for model train buffs because they have a G-Scale ceiling layout. Check it out.

1 Colasanti's Train

The locomotive is passing over the deli.

2 Colasant's Loco

The Great Northern Railway traveling westbound to the produce department.

3 Gingerbread Train Colasanti's

Like to build a Gingerbread Train?

It is late 1949 and a pair of Pennsy Sharks are getting ready to pull out with a coal drag.  While all Sharks were delivered with the 5-stripe passenger engine paint scheme, they were bought for freight service.  By the late '50s most were repainted with the single stripe of a freight engine.

These are Lionel Century Club II Sharks.

This is either a continuation of or a correction to my post above on PRR freight Sharks.  I said in that post that all Pennsy Sharks were delivered with the 5-stripe passenger paint scheme, which is true.  However, I gave the impression that all Sharks were freight Sharks which is wrong.  The Pennsy did receive nine ABA sets of BP20 Passenger Sharks, which were considerably longer than the freight Sharks.  Below are some photos for comparison.  The short engine is Lionel's version of the freight Shark, the long engine is Weaver's version of the passenger Shark.

My Weaver BP20 AB consist has been upgraded with ERR and run great.

Photos show southwest corner of my 12’-by-8’ layout from opposite sides. An Atlas O USRA 0-6-0 steam engine model of CNJ #107 is on the O-72 outer loop. At the other end is PRR N5C caboose #6417 by Lionel.

Thanks Lee,

I have two layouts in my basement. The newer one with the trestle is 10'-by-5', completed in 2019. These pictures are on the older one, 12'-by-8', completed in 2004.

Great stuff this weekend. I wish I felt better but my cold started kicking me more Friday evening after I thought it was exiting. I spent this entire weekend resting and catching sleep. Really messed up my weekend plans to head to the train store. Last thing I'd want to do would be get them sick. I'll be joining in this coming weekend with something.
