Working on some scenery. Finally found a use for the HO Scale Revell barn I have had since 1958:

Is that the actual HO barn or a real life scene ?   If it's your modeling skills I am amazingly impressed !!!!!

It is a clear, cold early morning start for the eastbound freight.  The yard lights are bright as the engineer finishes his coffee and the conductor works on the manifest back in the cabin.  The fireman is fast asleep but the engineer won't wake him until they start out.  Good thing the engineer's wife gave him a large thermos of coffee today.

The engineer is thankful he didn't get the BF-15s; last time out the B unit failed.

Looks like a good day as the century closes in on being half over.

New Haven Joe :  Thanks so much for the pictures from the Folk Art Museum in Santa Fe.  While the folk art trains are cool and demonstrate the innovation and imagination of "train folks" the ancient colored paper over wood antiques were AMAZING.  It is astounding especially given how fragile that method of pasting paper "labels in effect" over wood parts actually is seeing those trains in such super condition is a real treat!  Many of those go back 120-130 years!!

Thanks for sharing

Don
