It is past the time I normally start Weekend Photo Fun, so let's get it underway.

This past week I spent time working on the tinplate downtown area at the club.

More building decals:

I have been wiring up the street lamps:

I also finished the tiles on the sidewalks. Still waiting on my park benches to arrive in my PO Box.

A Photo Album from Stockyard Express - “Took a road trip to Ohio”

Here's a few shots taken a couple weeks ago at the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, IL, during a night time event they had.

Before the sun set, here's their latest building just completed, which is part of their Main Street project. This building will be subdivided into several smaller sections, with this portion in the foreground eventually housing their HO (?) layout. Cool retro-looking sign.

Just after sunset, IRM's Burlington Northern F-9A built by EMD in 1954.

My son schmoozed his way into the cab to have a chat with the engineer during a break. He's a retired UP engineer doing this for fun.

I liked this night view of their 1922 Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) rapid transit car, with the lighting looking very similar in appearance to O-scale scenes.

Nice pictures this weekend. I kind of slept in almost all weekend, been nothing but gloomy and cool here. Little bit of rain yesterday, but nothing else going on. I was hoping today would have had some sun, but it was just as gloomy as yesterday was, so no outside fun.

Dave, one of the best things about the hobby we love is that we are immune from getting down because of bad weather. It's always a great day in our basements and attics and all the other places inside our homes where our trains and layouts are.

And when the weather is nice outside, then we can venture out, play golf,  play other sports, go on hikes, and do whatever else we love to do outside, which can include for some of us (not me) our garden railways. Arnold

The old house I currently live in has an attic and basement that are not train friendly and would cost tons to get even close to being so. I am trying to get the back bedroom cleared to work on building an around the wall layout in there but have very limited time during the week and this weekend was busy on Saturday as we had a roofing company come out to discuss putting on a new roof.

With all that I got tired the rest of the day. Yesterday the weather just knocked me out. I can take the PRR Atlantic for a spin around the Christmas tree layout but was just out of it. When I get time I will get the Royal Hudson out for a bit of testing to see how it sounds before contacting Alex M about upgrading. Slow and steady wins the race they say, that's my aim.

The YouTube trip to Ohio was great, one thing though, I missed the trip😟 in the red F150. I call Stockyards frequently…

Your visit to the Lost Train museum was enjoyable. I can now, after all these years, finally visualize my father and his family riding between Ashland Ky and Huntington WV.  He always tried to explain the train was more of a street car design used on the tracks connecting the four cities of Ashland, Catlettsburg, Kenova, and Huntington.

I wish to say Your production time is appreciated this morning 😀.  And,
I miss my Dad.

Hi Patrick aka Trumptrain!

Is that psgr car what is referred to as a Lionel "Madison" car? Very nice proportions.

Where does the so-called "Baby Madison" fit in? (More truncated and "traditional" sized.) Was the "Baby Madison" series a product of the 90s or later?

Andre

Well last Friday at the museum I had a MTH D&H C628 running on the upper level and apparently it couldn't decide which level, upper or lower, that it wanted to run on. Maybe, it just developed a split personality.

Somehow it split the switch creating a problem. Fortunately neither the loco or the rolling stock suffered any damage. The main is still functional but the transition is shutdown till repairs can be done.

Alls well that ends well.
