New building is up downtown!  You can even see the other one under construction in a picture.

A candy store on the left side, lobby in the middle, and cigar shop on the right of the first floor.  Above that, all apartments/condos.  I still need to make signs for the stores.

In the background you can see the new 9 story building is almost complete.  It will be lighted also but with frosted windows unlike the six story white one in the foreground with some inside details added.

Thank you, Scott, for starting this up!  It is my favorite thread of the week.....

Working under the layout, I was reminded that i own  this nice O27 starter set from 1962 (New Haven, of course!)

6110

Dave,

The 6110 looks great.  The one I posted earlier needs a tender.  I read I need a 6001T for it.  Is that what you have?  I like it.

I remember the day we went to Braussers to pick it up, Dean had it looking like new.

My guess is you have the correct tender.  Beaver Falls!   Both our daughters considered going to Geneva College there, but one ended up at Grove City and the other at Malone in Canton.

This shot ( an experiment mistake ) appears to have a bit of artistic value IMO.

It's of some modern era 2400 style Lionel cars that I outfitted with 12V LED strips.   They're wired directly to AC and at slower, realistic speeds barely show under normal ambient lighting.  So with room lights off and train at speed this is what my Sony point and shoot digital produced.

Just thought it was unusually interesting and worth posting.

My sister is stationed in Germany with the Air Force and I have not seen her or my nieces and nephews for the last 3 years.  They got some extended time to come back to the states this summer.  The youngest one heard I had trains so the first day they arrive it was off to my house.  All the nieces and nephews (4) stayed the night and the youngest just wanted to watch and play trains all night. Even got him a step stool so he could be eye level.
