We also had a few milestones on the Amtrak platform this week - she's really starting to take shape.
Here are a few pics of a Grand Central, Base being created (work in Process) for a TMB Club member's home layout. Harry Hieke is the master builder. He has already detailed the Lionel station and shipped it. The base is expected to be delivered later this month. Once installed I will post pics of the completed building

Picked up a new MTH CSX GP40 this week to work my SA31 local. Also put up a new MTH signal on the other side of the existing one so I can have bi-directional running on track 2 
NS ES44AC pulling a string of boxcars on the upper level - 
Broke out some postwar to run too - 
Lorenzo joined in the fun - 
NS 294 w/ Dash-9 9564 leading passes a stopped grain train w/ an ES44AC on the point at Cresson, PA-
Westbound power move 961 glides through Shawsville, VA with NS ES44DC 7589 leading 5 other GE motors 
The Nickle Plate Road heritage unit pulls through Hayne Junction in Spartanburg, SC with northbound manifest 154
NS SD70ACe 1167 leading a westbound grain train past a coal mine in Keystone, WV on the Pokey
It's a busy day in the NYO&W yard! An F3 powered passenger train is gliding by while a milk train powered by an FT diesel set arrives. A pair of 44 tonners bask in the sun, waiting for the lead to clear.

Here are some pics of my Lionel Legacy BN SD40 (with Kinematic pilot) after fixing the pilot, adding full length handrails, adding Kadee couplers, moving in the trucks (a little), adding a smaller chain in front, adding accents and weathering. These changes will be illustrated in my next video.

Looks like they're cleaning the wheels of the locomotive. I always wondered where modelers got the idea from.
I just installed this S scale block signal from Z-Stuff and think it looks and works great. In my opinion the S scale version seems to be just the right size for my subway setup.

Looks like they're cleaning the wheels of the locomotive. I always wondered where modelers got the idea from.
The train is at the new Amtrak locomotive service facility. Norfolk Southern has not turned over the facility to Amtrak yet and wanted to give it to them in mint condition. The drop-cloths are there to catch any oil dripping from the engine.

Just finished this Williams Challenger, upgraded with full ERR , articulated sounds , super chuffer with chuff generator, electro Coupler, fan driven smoke unit , and Evans LEDs.

Sorry for the poor image. I enhanced it a bit to even get it looking this good. I found it going through some photos at dad's. This is the earliest picture that I have that I am in watching the train. I'm the short stubby kid with my brother, one of my sisters, and my father (he is the best dad ever). This is where it all started gang.
For the Google Image Searcher... I'm pretty sure I didn't take this but it was enhanced. LOL!

I love these old pictures. Even though it's black and white I can still see the green sawdust grass. Such wonderful memories.
