I bought pair of post war F3 lionel engines this weekend first F3's I've ever own seems like I just keep getting bigger in the O scale it's starting to be my favorite scale. I'm going to re- do these in Chicago & Eastern Illinois paint schemes enjoy the video
My Facebook "memory book" reminded me that two years ago this past week, I was on my cross-country drive. Here are a few of the train sights I saw....
San Francisco Cable Car Museum
California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento
Restored depot, that I believe had a cafe, in Lovelock, Nevada.
For some reason, I really like this photo - and have since I took it. Taken spur of the moment from the window of the car as we rocketed across the Nevada desert, enroute to Wendover, at Sunset, at 90MPH.
Union Pacific yard and station at Green River, Wyoming.
Cheyenne Steam Shop, roundhouse and Big Boy.
Lot's of Union Pacific traffic along the route parallel to I-80. I think this is UP's Overland Route but not sure.
Railroad displays at Cody Park, North Platte, Nebraska. Terrific place. Would love to visit again.
Union Pacific locomotives on the hill overlooking I-80 at Kennefick Park, Omaha, Nebraska.
Jesse James Historic Site, Adair, Iowa. Location of first US train robbery (or at least that is what the sign said!)
Canadian National had these Chicago Central open-top, three-bay hoppers rebuilt and repainted.

MartyE posted:Sorry for the poor image. I enhanced it a bit to even get it looking this good. I found it going through some photos at dad's. This is the earliest picture that I have that I am in watching the train. I'm the short stubby kid with my brother, one of my sisters, and my father (he is the best dad ever). This is where it all started gang.
For the Google Image Searcher... I'm pretty sure I didn't take this but it was enhanced. LOL!

What a great photo, there's nothing like the good ole days !

The first crappy basement layout .
For the uninformed, this is NOT a cut on Marte. It's a running joke.
