I spent a few days in PA each of the last 2 months documenting the PRR signals on the West Slope in their final days as well. 
After 20 years of shooting up there, this would become my final frame of a PRR signal on the Pittsburgh Line.
Signals were removed from service a few days later -

Huh. Chris, one of your pics looks familiar.
I took these pics Summer '98 with a (1) megapixel Kodak DC120, hence the poor image quality.
I had taken Dad to Johnstown to catch the Amtractyl.
A few minutes later here came a Roadrailer train.

Even with the poor quality, these are good catches. Think about it - The signal bridge, the Amtrak P40, the Amtrak paint scheme, Conrail, the Dash-8 & the roadrailers are all gone today.
My thought as well: all gone.....including my Dad. He had a very good run though, 1912 to 2016.

Lew, My dad was born in 1912 also but he checked out in 1998, his run was pretty good too.

I shot these photos of the Canton Railroad offices, yard, and locos last weekend ( Sunday ) in Baltimore. This small switching railroad has been around since 1906. The two locos in the photos represent 50 percent of their locomotive fleet. 
Patrick there's an HO guy on YouTube who has a wonderful rendition of the Canton RR.

Thanks luvindemtrains! Yes I've met him at MB Kleins in Cockeysville, Md. We had a long discussion about the Canton RR. He works/worked at Kleins part time and yes his You Tube stuff is wonderful!
Although not being used for its original purpose, the caboose isn't quite extinct on certain NS trains in the Detroit area.
