Fred,

Thanks for the help. While they seem to work, my first thoughts were they seemed a little flimsy to me.

These are very good runners in general:

The box with 51 is a box for a similar locomotive but with tender. Hornby sold these locomotives in separate boxes for the locomotive and the tender, so a mixed up was easily made. Could have been done already in the shop.

Thanks Fred for posting the video, which I only noticed tonight!

Good news...Thanks also to Lew/LEWRAIL for his email suggestion to apply some oil. So, it went from barely making half laps on my 027 workbench layout (before the oil) to several times making 3 laps after oiling.

When does this addiction ever end ?

I have not been much of a collector of trackside stuff up to this point but have decided I need some

So being the fellow I am with rather deep pockets and short arms ( ) the only requirement at this stage was ... Cheeeeep!

Bearing that in mind .... here are a couple I picked up on sale last night locally ( in Australia)

Both from the 50's I would guess

Firstly a Joytown Station ( Mettoy UK )

And a rather plain jane which I am guessing is German? ( No Marks)

Also from the same seller I grabbed a rather crunchy Marx Commodore to fiddle with...

( Hey it was like $30AU , 20$USish  and you dont just find them in the street here like you do in the US lol ...couldnt say no )

And lastly .. and the thing I am most excited by today , is the end of a long search for some half decent Bing Tabletop Railway carriages ( at a reasonable cost ) ... I have had a couple of loco's and a tender and a stack of track for a few years but the carriages have been hard to come by !

( well for me at least ... and I know they arent O Gauge... dont judge me ! I love the little buggers , its not my fault they started this whole HO/OO thing !  )

A "selection"... Wow those are in amazing shape NWL!  That red 3110 just pops! and the 9" cars...just wow.

Rob, you don't recall seeing them when you visited?  They were on the were on the wall, except for the NYC gondola, which I was finally able to upgrade.  It took me years to acquire them in this condition.  Here are better shots of each.
