IMGP2714the stars aligned and the cosmos delivered,,,i have only seen one of these,courtesy  of mr jim burke,,i wasn't looking for this ,ok much,with orig boxes,altho i'm not a box collector,its stunning if I do say so myself af 1927 eagle ,wow,,just wow now would love to see the catalog it was in ! Cool- did you kitbash the "shovel nose", or is that really a Hafner factory variation? I don't recall ever seeing that one before. Thanks for posting that.

Congratulations nice set! I own the same set and it is called the Chief and was cataloged in 1927 only. The set is often referred to as the 4th President Special although it isn't really. It is a more dressed up set than the previous year's President Special with Journals and extra trim and of course a #4677 engine instead of #4639. Like all Flyer standard gauge engines, it runs great and I expect that your's will too.
