Being away from the hobby for 20+ years the list is long let alone my learning curve.  Being back in it for just over a year I now have a somewhat manageable list of a few items.

In the top 5 if not at the top, is Lionel (Brand K Line) 6-22674 Milw Rd 21” passenger car 2 pack.  Milw Rd in the UP colors

I discovered this set a few months back and was able to pick up the other three other cars in the last few months.

Ignoring my "it'd be really cool to own one of those" list, the stuff that's been on my bugging me list would be to complete a couple sets.

Looking for a K-Line PRR 15" baggage car from the Broadway Limited Set.  Been finding inconsistencies between what's packaged in the Broadway Limited vs. the Brunswick Limited boxes on the secondhand market, but regardless I'm looking for the tuscan colored one.

Looking for a Lionel 2534 Silver Bluff pullman.  The ones for sale often seem to be either mint in box or in pieces.  I don't mind a project, but I'm just looking for a runner so I don't want to spend the cost of a mint one on buying replacement parts.  At this point, thinking of getting another Silver Cloud and swapping out the nameplates

As part of a collection I bought off a friend I ended up with a set of 15" streamlined C&O cars.  He was using the early 1990s Lionel T-1 Chessie Steam Special to pull it, which is pretty large compared to the traditional stuff I usually run.  I really like the color scheme on the cars so I want to find a suitable replacement.  K-Line made an F series ABA in the same color scheme, but the one or two I've seen come up for sale went for big bucks.

Of course currently it's hard to justify any purchases as all my trains are currently in storage awaiting the planned move this summer to a house with the perfect sized basement for that railroad empire...

...so I suppose at the top of my "looking for" list is that house!

I'm casually considering a one of Lionels 50th anniversary J3a hudsons.

I've become disenchanted with the new stuff.

I was actually helping a buddy whose selling his father’s collection.  He had the 50th anniversary set for sale at show last weekend He brought out that Hudson from that set and it is absolutely beautifully detailed. Grey boiler, no marker lights, so many details, etc.  It’s definitely one of the nicest Hudson’s I’ve seen and was not aware of it til this weekend

For the first time since I got back into running and accumulating PW Lionels (1983) I am looking for absolutely nothing.

The last Lionel piece I wanted (a nice 2379 Denver & Rio Grande F3) was purchased at the Allentown Spring Thaw meet, and my American Flyer display and layout are at capacity.

Still looking forward to York for the comradery and learning experiences, however.  Hmmm, I do still have money in my train purchasing bank...…..

Any locomotive, train car, structure or scenic item that I don't already have, that makes my model railroad have more features of The Put.

I recently added 2 terrific locomotives (Lionel TMCC 10 wheeler NY Central steam engine and MTH Railking Proto 3 NY Central RS-3 Diesel) that are O Gauge models of what ran on The Put. Here are photos of them:

After many years of purchasing whatever caught my eye, which I'm still vulnerable to, it's nice having a more specific purpose and goal.

I have seen in real train photos a light colored 44 tonner center cab diesel switcher that ran on the Put. A modern O Gauge model (with front and back electrocouplers) of that switcher is something that would interest me, especially if it was a LionChief Plus 2.0 or a Railking Proto 3. Arnold

I am looking for a good, clear diagram  or  picture of all the wiring to and into a Marx #999, etc. reverse unit.  I need to wire one to two motors and don't want to tear another down just to look at it.  I got the book but that diagram is not clear. There are structure kits l am looking for, including that grain elev, kit made in PA., as one I found is incomplete.  There are several other kits, but l will copy or approximate if l don't scare up the kit.  I am looking for coal Vanderbilt tenders in three sizes ( probably have to scratch those) and the list goes on..

Always looking for targets of opportunity.  Frixample, I snapped up the makings of a steeplecab at last weekend's show.  ;-)

I'm on the lookout for projects and parts (for example, a couple of junk Lionel General chassis to make a freelance box cab electric locomotive)...

And I can use both air and electronic tender whistles!

My initial response to this question would be a few more of the petroleum or railroad-roadnamed chrome plated RailKing tankers that I have yet to acquire, after I decided to make a solid train of chrome and plated aluminum freight cars (I have about 20 now)

Then I remembered one of my long-term "looking for" quests, the second dome car from the K-Line aluminum Golden State set, the k4632-29841c "Golden Outlook":

As I read through the thread I saw this...

So, after your last great O scale find what are you looking for now?

I'm looking for this funny guy named Paul to run some trains at the club

...and thought "well, it would also be nice to be find someone to carpool with from the (north central) Bronx to the NJ Hirailers on select weekends so I could finally become a member there". Otherwise that'd require me to resurrect a 1987 Maxima currently occupying our garage (needs battery, tires, most likely an oil change and its transmission fluid checked out) , and get accustomed to driving it since I haven't had any opportunities to  drive since passing my road test (on the first try) a few years ago.

70% lengtn of a junk 1800s coach body; I hate cutting on good ones.

Magnetraction bearings for 2037 & rear gear; some for 2046 too, frnt gear. Both have reached the point of jumping a tooth at the drivers.

3+ of 0-4-0 beater motors for bashing to, maybe a 6 wheel motor, two motor-in-truck diesel drives.

I'm also short a K-line Broadway Limited car or two, but 12". I have the 4812, Cascade Hgts, 7812 baggage and Federal View cars. There is a dinner I'd like, and maybe one more, but I'd be chasing the Federal on my ten footer with a full BL consist, even 12". (If it all fit, lol)

I might pick up a third chrome RI&P General if the price is right. I'm toying with a General chassis bash idea too. It's the short driver wheelbase I'm after. Any alternative ideas? Smaller drivers would be better too; so anything lend itself extremely well to loosing some of the frame and drivers leaving a short length, tight WB, 4 driver chassis?

Well, I found this thread on page 24 or 25 of this OGR 027- 3 rail O Guage Forum, wow, but I like the Question Paul Romano asked, great thread. I’m looking for someone who can repair 2 of the Lionel TPC 400’s. Lou Kovash Sold this idea to Lionel, I would like to get mine repaired. It can be programmed, but that’s as far as it can goes, it’s probably the microprocessor. Wow, I need help. Thank You in advance. ED611113-EB4C-42A1-B08C-804285D58F17

Finishing my Golden State collection. I really wasn't into the aluminium sided cars, but after seeing them here, I think that I have to have them.

And I need the Macy's Boxcar, plus the LGB Snoopy Surfer, the MTH Sears Craftsman Boxcar and the Atlas Robin Hood Beer Boxcar. And others.

I know some of what I'm looking is on eBay fairly often but I need to refine my wants and decide exactly how much I'm willing to spend.

Boxcars and reefers to expand my Friendship Train.  Many of the cars in the train had simple signs on the sides, so I'm developing a list of cars that will work with computer made signs added to the side.  Here is an example of PRR X-29s with a sign on the side.  There were 9 of these cars and they all looked the same.  I have the correct motive power and 15 cars so far (some are Lionel that are on order).

FT-44Tonner [6)

So far my list includes:

- AtlasO UP Steel Re-Built USRA Boxcar 6485-X

- MTH 40' Lackawanna USRA Single Sheathed Boxcar 20-93365

- MTH X41b 50' PS-1 MS boxcar 20-93582

- Atlas O SP (black logo) 40' Single Sheathed (wood braced) Box Car

Prototype cars for which I have not found a correct model yet:

- PFE 66370 - Orange reefer with brown top/ends

- ATSF steel boxcar/El Capitain Coach Streamliner

- C&O wood Double sheath boxcar

I originally replied to this with "More time to work on the layout". Thanks to COVID-19 I now have that although I am blessed to have a company who is still paying me to work from home. Now I am looking at more room for growth. I would love a large switching area to build and break apart consists but I would have to sacrifice a storage closet and move my city park to get that done. Still planning.

Steve

I had to think about this...

It pales in comparison to bigger and better things but still looking for the elusive Lionel 6014 Chun King box car.

I like putting together PW sets, one car at a time, and I have almost completed the uncataloged X-150 Set led by the good old 520 Box Cab Electric. The Chun King box car is the one car I need to complete the set. Very hard to find (without breaking the bank).
