I'll probably get the Hobo car to but Lionel really needs to re-issue this. The best Hobo accessory ever.
After careful consideration, I may take a pass on this one. I'm not a Legacy guy and run mostly conventional and PW so the target for me is something along the Lion Chief Plus 2.0 line and selected rolling stock. The Lionel Lines 773 steamer and the Amtrak Genesis, both in 2.0, caught my eye but neither are must haves.
I usually wait a few weeks to get my hands on the hard copy catalog and give it another once over before the pre-order deadline and then decide. So we'll see.
I'm still awaiting on two Lionel legacy SD60ace locomotives from the last catalog so orders are light. But, I did order the Lionel Lines 773 LC 2.0 plus locomotive (I still love postwar) and I ordered the CP Cupola Cam caboose ( I think this is a cool idea).

I like it MartyE !! My hobo scene has the camp fires, shack, junk and hobo's of course. It located under the elevated adjacent to a site frequented by the mob to dispose of the "unwanted". Sadly, a water tower will not fit.
ZERO, NOTHING.

I felt the same way but I settled for Eire. I think I'd be waiting a long time for New Haven hobo's.

Well there's always the MTH volume II, 2021 catalog

Jonathan, I suspect we all go through that, so I sell off my oldest to make room for the newest and greatest!
But from this catalog, the biggest disappointment for me was that a long awaited Genesis diesel was in the LionChief line, not the Legacy line. And I am waiting for the hard copy catalog to arrive so I can see if the Grand Canyon Railway set has cars with the proper Harrriman roofs - I cannot tell from the online graphic. If so, that is my buy. Steamer #29, although their generic model, is close enough, with a couple of changes, does a pretty good job of looking like the real item.
I suspect it will be the same tooling as the Reading cars, so roofs will be wrong for Harriman.
I just added a custom run 2-8-0 pre-order from Mr. Muffins; Canadian National 2616. He needs 20 pre-orders, so this may or may not make it into production.
@SouthernFan56 posted:The only thing so far is the special run Southern 2-8-0 from Legacy Station number 630 which is a current operating locomotive in Chattanooga at TVRR. I am considering an L&N custom run 2-8-0 at Mr. Muffins.
I placed my order with them the other day. Can't wait for it.
I'm looking at the unpowered EMD demonstrator SD45 with Super Bass. I can run it with any road power and enjoy the enhanced sound. It will go along just fine with my EL SD45s , U-Boats or as back in EL's day, just about anything. Part of the attraction is the fact that I had one in N Scale many years ago and always liked the paint scheme.
Looking at the C Liners - both of the New Havens, or maybe a NH and a Long Island (I have passenger cars I could run with either). Luckily I have a few weeks to make up my mind... or come to my senses
well the C liners do look good. Maybe a 2 car set of Strasberg cars to run with other Strasberg cars.
Ordered the special run of CN #2616 2-8-0 from MrMuffins. I've been putting more money into purchase of old-stock at pre-2021 prices to fill in missed opportunities while they're still available, esp. of passenger sets. I may add a hobo car and the CP cupola cam caboose.
I ordered the Rock Island hobo sound car.
Should make my boxcar rig extra fun.
I preordered the Grand Canyon set with the add-on passenger cars and two 160th anniversary box cars for UP and the Great Locomotive Chase. I plan on doing a product review on the set and maybe even the two box cars.
Has anyone seen the print version of the new catalog yet. Is it in the stores?

Yep, picked one up yesterday, 7/22.

All three SD45 Demonstrators. I'm a sucker for demonstrators but da** three more Lionel locomotives to rip out the guts and replace with Sunset. Means I have to reserve 3 more Sunset F45s.

Next to the Strasburg, these are the other gems in the catalog.
