Bill Happy Birthday! But you need to refigure your dog years! I seen on the news this morning that researchers have changed it up! LOL Have a great day with your parents!

Jim, The hand rails look great and the whistle looks perfect on top of the dome! I cant wait to see it on the trailer and all the snow!

Pretty nice gift, Brian!

I just read an article about pet care, that described things to protect your pet at holiday times. Most had to do with eating.  I was surprised that one said that dogs can get sick from ice cream.  What’s up with that????? Right away I though of Izzy!  Annie likes to lick my bowl after eating ice cream.

Hi guys, I wasn't on yesterday so there is a lot for me to catch up with so this might be a little long. Please forgive me.

Brian, Wonderful phots! Must be commuter Monday!

Lew, All the wood I bucked and split is for next winter, but don't worry we have plenty for this winter. It really hasn't been that cold around here yet!

Bob, I sure hope you get the bugs figured out in your engine! Nice Pictures

Lee, West is the only way to go! But be careful if you go to far you will fall in to the water!

Mark, Thanks you! I sure hate it when the Pro's Jerry Rig things and then you have to go back after them and fix it!

Patrick, Sounds interesting, I cant wait to see the before and after photos!

Jim, I am glad you had a chance to get into the train room and have some fun with your trains on your layout! What a wonderful photo, Great looking scene! I sure like the Red tuck in the grain building!

Lou, The finished section looks great! Nice job on the lighting!

Johan, Very cool looking speeder! But its not in the Shark Bay colors! LOL

Steve, The lighting really brings the scene to life! Nice job!

Bryan, Great start! We have the sounder here in Seattle and it runs between Everett and Auburn to take folks into Seattle. Except when we have mud slides! LOL

John R, Nice work on the battery install! The train and sound are very impressive!

Bruce, very nice, your track work looks great! What is the size of your layout and where do you park your cars now! LOL

Paul 2, Thank you, everything is getting done on the repairs, maybe a little slow but getting there! Nice work on the Kober flat! It should look great on the layout when your done! Don't worry about Bryan, you 2 have different taste and I bet both will look great!

Well I have a little more work to get everything ready for the Furnace install, but I think I will be able to get a little time in the train room today. I got some time yesterday but only did a little cleaning! I know Lew, no pictures it didn't happen. Well if I took a before and after pictures you would still see a mess so I didn't see any reason to take pictures!

I hope you all have a great Tuesday and find time for your trains and layouts!

Mike. Thank you. I paint that speeder in orange color, because that is a BAR -speeder.

Johan

Bill, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY"

Jim, you did a great job of the float. It is going to look good in the parade.

Lou1985, now that's a center piece for a layout. Good job.

Brian, the graphic is hilarious.

So after I took the flats downstairs and put a coat of clear coat on them I went back up to the kitchen and brought down the module. It is now on saw horses and the legs attached. After lunch I am going to make up some blocks of wood for the other side of the legs to secure them better. Once that is done it is on to making the liftoff scene. I already texted Bryan with a pic with my progress to make him start sweating LOL

Finished up some details last night on the float with a few of the scouts.  I ran the air line "red hose under the train" for the whistle, installed the rest of the hand rails, and put on the builders plate.

We might paint the running boards white, haven't decided yet.   I still need to get the fog machine running for the smoke, as the one we borrowed was clogged up.

We have a group coming over friday evening to finish everything up.

I have been working on the last corner section of my layout - Scrap yard & industrial area.   Added lights to several of the building flats and I am in the process of completing the loading dock for the scrap yard and bakery company flats.   Also filled in the area under an adjacent window ledge with a stone wall.  The stone wall texture was printed off the internet from BIG Indoors Trains web site:

https://www.bigindoortrains.co...nts/store_fronts.htm

BIT's web site is a wonderful resource and allows you to print in several scales. The also post great tutorials for related projects.  The price is right up my alley - free!   Your cost: printer ink, paper, foam board or card stock, etc.

Most of the flats used in this area were purchased from Trackside Flats.  They offered a good selection of industrial buildings.   I have added LED lighting to several.   Where I plan to use ground cover or ballast in contact with the base of a printed structure, I spray that area of the building or wall texture with clear matte finish to protect from print bleed that might result from the glue mixture and wet water spray.   This is a lesson I unfortunately learned earlier.

Great find today at Hobby Lobby: 9 scale sized pickle barrels or in my case, maybe flour barrels. $1.29 after a 40% off coupon and tax!

I have a flickering amber diode so I bought a 3/8 light socket at Menards and harvested the metal socket thinking it might become a metal trash barrel and site of a warming trash barrel fire.   Time will tell!

Good to see that everyone is busy with trains.  Must be that time of the year!
Cheers, Dave

Mark, EGGCELLENT progress! Personal mobility is so easy to take for granted until you don't have it. So far in 2019 Roomie has had her foot in a boot (a walking cast thingy that she takes off at night) for all but three months. Presently she can walk....a bit....to get from the house to the car. Tomorrow she sees the Doc and hopefully can walk again finally without the boot. Progress!

Mark, we changed houses in part because the house in the South Hills had the bedrooms and only bathroom on the second floor and the arthritis in my hips wasn't happy with the old-guy-prostate vis-a-vis that bathroom location.  When the Doc diagnosed moderate arthritis in my hips I asked her what I could do to put off future hip-replacement and she said: "Don't go up stairs and don't walk up steep hills". Now the only thing on the second floor is the toys

I bought myself a Birthday present.  It's 12 years older than my Father!  No matter what, it will be run on my railroad.  I located a NOS headlight before I bought it.  Anything I need to know about running a 1927 Lionel set?  I bought my bride an old coin-op foosball table and she bought me a gas pump like I used on my first job.  Gas prices were 35.9 cents per gallon, full service.  E-nuf already.  How you like this?

Paul 2, Well you got a start on the module, that's a plus! I cant wait to see what you come up with to mate up to Bryan's module!

Jim, Looks great! You and the scouts did a wonderful job!

Mark, Congratulations on the big but yet I hope little steps! Now all you need is a dumb waiter installed and you could stay down stairs longer! As long as there is a bathroom down there! LOL

Johan, Great scene! Looks like a sawmill in the background loading sawdust into a hopper!

Dave, Nice to see your making progress, First off thank you for all the great information! Your corner scene is really coming along! It makes me thing I need to move my crane off the mainline and try to find room for a siding! Could be hard! LOL

Bill, WOW a 1927 train set, probably a 1950's gas pump and 3 cherry pies! Sure sounds like a great day to me!

Well I didn't get any train room time yesterday as I pushed hare to get everything ready for the HVAC guy on Saturday, I also have an electrician coming on Saturday so I want to make sure everything is ready. I don't want any hold ups getting my new furnace and Heat pump installed.

But I know I will get some time today as I only have a little more to do to be ready and then the rest of the day is for trains and my little buddy Tank!

I hope you all have a great day and find time for your trains and layouts!

Nice find and real wood they will take a wash or stain good

An army veteran came over to see my Christmas lay-out. He was fascinated by four Disney figures that were held together by screws that required a triangle-shaped screwdriver to remove. All four have switches, all of their batteries are dead, and I can't get them open. He insisted on taking one to an automobile mechanic to see if he could open it. All four figures were manufactured in either China or Vietnam.

Thank you, Mike and Lee.  I still have to progress to the point I can sit in a chair comfortably for more than 5 minutes!  LOL  The rocker was only comfortable for about that long!

Mike, sounds like good progress on the furnace problem!  I recall my dad had to get a new furnace in what turned out to be their last winter in the house.  Thinking back, the previous furnace was installed in my senior year of high school; 1973.  It lasted 43 years.

Sorry Bob for the confusion.   It is for a future project.  I am thinking of using the socket as a trash barrel and use my flickering amber LED to simulate a warming fire in the trash barrel.   The scene might be a stretch.   Be nice to find some yard workers needing to warm their hands.   Have to see what figures I can find.   Maybe the arrival of the winter cold got me thinking prematurely about this project.

Cheers, Dave

PS:  Johan, where did you get the oil drum?   I like it!

All structures and apparatus should have some kind of lighting to provide a touch of nighttime drama so today I added a light to the Lionel Gantry Crane:

        IMG_4234

Next I'm going to install a red LED in the crane cabin and wire it in parallel with the electromagnet so when it is powered the windows will glow red. This will serve as a reminder to not leave the electromagnet on when the crane is idle.

I love this scene but I immediately noticed something that didn't look right to me. Notice your middle track end. It buts right up against a concrete set of stairs. Any car getting even close to the wheel stops would destroy the railing and stairs on the left.

Good "eye" Lee & Dave!   This is what happens when you decide to add change that was not in the original plan.   Actually there is 3/4" clearance (3 scale feet) between the end track end and concrete steps.   The wheel stops are a scale 6 feet from the steps; probably not up to OSHA regulations.   One solution would be to move the wheel stops.   If I'm ever inspected and ticketed, I will move the wheel stops.   Thanks for the safety check!

Cheers, Dave

Sadly, my crane has only a hook, no electromagnet. But I still like your idea and will implement the lighting in some way! Maybe with the hook up-down and/or the cab turn right-left motion, with a big honkin' cap across the light so that it lingers for at least a couple of seconds when I have released the levers.

Morning guys, I hope you all had a good day yesterday! I worked a little more on my HVAC project and then did get some time in the train room!

Brian, Wonderful UP collection! You know if you put USMC on the side of the camo engine you really have a winner there! LOL

Johan, not to be critical but with the dirty building, I think the can is a little too clean. But great scene!

Lew, I agree lighting is Key! It really looks good on your crane! I am guessing those are LED's also?

Well like I said I got some train room time yesterday. I spent a good amount cleaning as my younger brother is bringing my mom for a visit today and I did want a huge mess. I ran a couple trains, removed a couple passenger cars so the Amtrak train wouldn't block the other sidings. But Something is wrong with it, its acting up so I think I am going to have to clean the track and pickups to see if that fixes it. But I will probably do that Friday as I want to spend time with my family today.

I hope you all have a great day and keep up the great work your all doing!

Mike, it is one MPC era headlight bulb&socket, the one that looks like a present-day miniature Christmas tree light. Having seen it at night, I like the effect and am going to add second light behind the right front crane leg.

Lee, the Gantry Crane is my favorite Postwar accessory. Someday I want to give it a more scale-like appearance by constructing a larger cabin/engine-room. It is part of actual operations on the Plywood Empire Route. Three PW Standard O Gondolas circulate through train consists and when a Gon is picked up it's cargo is steel scrap that has been loaded using the Crane.

Lew, Thanks for the information on the lighting on your crane! The extra light really works, now all you have to do is get a red flashing light atop the boom! LOL

Dave, Your burn barrel looks amazing! Nicely done!

Johan, I agree its a sharp looking barrel. Nice job on the tank car!

Tedw, Nice work on the campfire! If you don't mind me asking what did you use for your snow!

Well I didn't get any train room time today, but I sure did have a great time with my mom and younger brother! We all went out for lunch, then came home and got the Christmas Tree up and decorated! My didn't help hanging things, but she is a great director! LOL Put that there and this over here! LOL All in all it was a well deserved day for us all!

But Tomorrow is another day and anything could happen, maybe even some train time! LOL

I hope you all have a great night and dream of your next adventure aboard your trains!

I did several things today.

i bought some new shop light fixtures fluorescent bulbs, installed them to illuminate the things planned.  I set up a stereo system with two vintage AR speakers and some modern 25 watt tube power, and a CD player. Music is the soundtrack of my life, lol.  I set up a method of banking my curves as the 031 curves are right near the edge of my doors/tables. Clothes pins halves work really well,  then fastening the lower part of the track into the homosote. Will try and load a video. I ran feeder wires and started to fasten track down. Gathered my old catenary and started to fix them for re-installation.

Quite a full day. Two more vacation days left. I may get the rest of the curves banked, fasten some more track and set up a loop of overhead. We will see.

One can see the tank cars on a banked angle more easily on this video.

LEROOF,  Tubes only for me.  They make a warmer sound.  I have over 100 in my ham radio station.

Mike G,  Glad y'all had a good time.  I will spend more time with my parents.

Mark,  I'm now eating the third birthday cherry pie.  No complaints here.

Mitch,  Have you seen a Lackawanna?

I posted prewar questions on "To those who operate prewar."  I need a green door and orange door track for a prewar 805 boxcar.  Anyone?  Need not be mint.  Are there reproduction wheels for a 252 engine?  Zero time in the train room today.  I did blow apart two GP9's for a repaint and conversion to GP7's.  I took apart a foosball table to move it into the house.  Tomorrow I will put it back together.  Being old is not for chickens.

I enjoy music in my train room but I am not EXPERIENCED with stereo valve amps.  Very fine Leroof...I applaud you.  No fun crawling under layouts as I recently made wiring modifications to mine.

EP5 is requesting overhead power.

Fendermain, my old beaten up EP 5 has a hidden switch I placed in the defunct battery compartment. Flip the switch and pantographs are LIVE! It worked great last layout, should work fine. Catenary is  time consuming to repair, setup, and shape out wire. The over head rail is code 100 scale rail mounted upside down, held in place with rail joiners. Sparks too!

so the plan is currently not to enlarge the layout, but run an electric and a steamer or diesel on the same layout route. Right ZW handle for lower center  third rail operation, Left handle for overhead power.  Trick is to keep both trains running without collision on the three tables. The plan is full of reverse loops to keep things interesting. I may add a passing siding for a potential third train in this scenario.

Have a good weekend.

So I see my buddy Bryan has posted his progress so far, impressive. He is right late starts do not give us much time to complete anything. I got the boards cut and glued for the lift off section with scenery. I decided to do it this way so that one, the module would not be too heavy and awkward to carry and also so anything glued on would not get broke off in transit on set up or break down. This is where I am at right now. I started cutting  foam board to start layering it up and away from the tracks. Not quite sure where I am going with this. It will be more of trial and error. I also decided to bite the bullet and buy an inexpensive hot knife for foam. Found this one at Menards. Couple of pics............Paul 2

Very clever.  The nice part about your layout is that it can be totally modified with relative ease when you are tired of it.  The only thing I can do with mine is scenery or building structure mods.  Yours reminds me of layouts from Peter Riddle's Trains from your Grandfather's Attic publication.

Fendermain, Great observation!

Its a slightly modified  plan from Peter Riddle's Easy Lionel Layouts You Can Build.

I just cut the 022's to make it fit the three foot width, and modified a figure eight inside one of the return loops. Everything I wanted in a postwar theme at least for now.

more on catenary as it develops.

Bryan, looks good. Its getting there! Just one question, are the modules spose to match up as far as scenery?

Leroof, Great start! Your right 031 is a tight curve, but it looks like you did a good job with the clothes pins!

Mark, Thank you! I was talking with the wife after mom and brother left and she told me that mom want to come and stay with for a couple weeks! Which is fine with me as she doesn't have her own place so she has been staying with my siblings. Its a good thing there is 6 of us! LOL

Jim, IT's ALIVE! IT's ALIVE! Looks great! I bet it is going to be a big hit at the parade Saturday! Nice work by you and all the Scouts! You all should be proud of yourself!

Bill, Thank you Sir! Its nice to see family when you haven't seen them for awhile!

Paul 2, Looking good, Its going to be nice to be able to switch out scenery ! How does that hot knife work so far?

Well I have to do a little work around here before tomorrows furnace install. Then put the wife's snow tires on!

Then my plan is to get into the train room, build a track cleaning car and clean my track. Seams like have a couple dead spots and I want to do a good leaning before I start worrying about more power drops!

I hope you all have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend!

Don't forget to try and find time for your trains and layouts!

IMG_0978IMG_0979IMG_0983

So yesterday I started out my train time with one of my hopper car doors getting caught on a switch and then spilling "coal" everywhere. After cleaning that up I spent the rest of my time adding another small yard. This is going to come up next week to put a Christmas tree where the coal loaders are but I'll still have a loop around the tree.

Leroof thank you.  Brown stain like the walking platform or black stain as the ties are painted black?  The Christmas lights are from Costco...there are a lot of lighting options with them and 4 sets for around 10 bucks.  Good deal.

As someone who loves doing things on the layout I love this thread. As evidenced by well over half a million views, so do a lot of others here.

That being said, dare I suggest a change? Perhaps this thread could be for things done on our layouts, and a spin off thread called "What have you run on your layout today?" be set up.  It appears that many of the posts here, being pics of engines and rolling stock, would better fit such a spin off.

I know that I would enjoy both threads.

Johan, you re giving us some great pics. I agree with Mark. BL-2 so ugly they are beautiful. And hang in there one of these days I'll remember to post a diagram of the basement layout.

LEROOF, that is edge running. Nice way to bank your curves.

Modular building proceeding. I know Bryan is way ahead of me. And no matter what Bryan puts on his modular facing me it will only be blowing in the wind through the trees. I was out today helping one of the Tuesday night guys dismantle his layout so I was busy during the day. But when I finally got home I had a bit of time before dinner to paint the small backdrop. Two colors on the sky and four colors for the backdrop of trees. Maybe after dinner I can start gluing down the foam. Tomorow is NE group breakfast and a visit to one of the members layout. Channeling your inner Bob Ross?????

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Fendermain and Mark Boyce, that little saw was a neighbor's hobby saw. He gave  it to me and I originally cut brass tubing for semi scale dwarf signals I made  and an assortment of plastic and wood pieces for the float bridge I made. One can even set the angle one wants to cut.  He did not really want it back as the saw blade was not removeable or replaceable. I have done hundreds of projects with it. This one is no longer made, however one can get a very similar one at Harbor Freight. The new ones are more durable but saw blade not replaceable still.

RSJB18, Not only close to the edge, but also ON the edge!

i ran my EP 5 at a really good clip tonight, I usually don't run stuff that fast but magnatraction loves this environment and the unit train with 8 tankers and a caboose never faltered! The train leans into the turn, on edge. Exciting too!

i have never had an abrupt exit from the table with the  banked curves.

Much less messy than paint

my former catenaary poles are in a state of varying disruption. mostly dirt and broken parts. my friend Jim bought all my trains and layout stored the catenary for 15 years. never used them. so they came back to me. they require qite a bit of twhab, but I just set them up to see their old pantograph friend!

more on that as it develops.

I am missing about 10 of these to complete all three tables.  i will ask jim to do a sweeping search.

btw:they are MTH metal telegraph poles. I think tin plate traditions type.

No better way to go uptown than that.  Looking forward to your progress. BTW what a handsome engine!!

I haven’t posted in a while on this thread, just lurking and liking. Nice work to all, it’s fun too see all of the progress.

I finally got around to mounting and beginning to wire our new control panel. Before the zw, we had RW and LW transformers. Both worked great, but the throttles operated in opposite directions - one clockwise, one counter clockwise - making it difficult to quickly shut off in an emergency. Nothing like having that ZW handle in your hand.

On the Waxhaw divisision today, we set and allighned the track and a Lionel 317 bridge for a branch of the shortline tht crosses the main line railroad and city transit line on the lower level. In my prior post , we saw the town and industries the Short line served. It has trackage rights on  Main line RR that is the upper loop. In a Union Station this Short line has a track for its line which extends into a town where there is a junction connecting this branch. Enjoy the photos. IMG_4878IMG_4879IMG_4880

Hi Guys, so there is a lot going on here with a lot of great work! So I handed out a lot of likes, but there are 2 things I want to comment on and I will make it up to the rest of you all next time.

Paul2, Great looking trees! When I seen them I was thinking the same thing Bob said. Bob Ross! LOL I just watched a repeat of his show the other night!

Jim, Great job on the train! I sure hope you all have a fun time in the parade today and please take some picture!

Well as for the norm lately I didn't get any train room time yesterday. While finishing up the furnace closet, the guy that I contracted to remove all my stumps showed up. Well needles to say there when the day, and today the HVAC guy is coming so who knows.

I hope you all have a great day and fun with whatever you do!

I’m like Mike today, lots of great projects everyone.  I ran the Western Maryland Scenic passenger train a few minutes yesterday like a couple days ago.  Lew, it was deja vu all over again, so check the photograph I posted then.  LOL

Im going with our older daughter and son-in-law today for them to get a few things from my parents’ house.  I have only been out of the house for Hospital and PT for 3 weeks, so we will see how I do.  I only plan to unlock and be there as an advisor.  Closing is supposed to be early December. If I’m too whipped I’ll stay home from church another Sunday.

Have a great day everyone!

Well I thought I would go out to the train room this morning before I get started on all the work I have to do today.

I got a nice gift from Mr. Brown yesterday from a Forum member. It a non powered AC4400 to go behind my AC4400 powered unit. So I thought I would unpack it and take some pictures and run it around the track once. I still have to change it out to Kadee couplers as it doesn't like to stay hooked with the big claw.IMG_20191123_054242585IMG_20191123_054247843IMG_20191123_055222843

Mark, good luck on your outing today! Be Careful!

Brian, great pictures!

Keith, looks like you have a great helper there!

Bryan and Paul, Have fun at breakfast and no food fights! Also I hope you enjoy the visit to one of your group members layout!

Everyone have a great Saturday!

Mike g, nice looking engines. I like that paint scheme.

Jim, the engine project came out great. Good to see you had a good turnout from the troop.

Mark, it was a good outing. 4 of us showed up but the layout visit was outstanding. One heck of a great layout.

GANDYDANCER, enjoyed the video.

Johan, once again you outdid yourself. Well done.

Today Bryan and I car pooled to our NE morning breakfast and then a viewing of Nick's layout. Pics are one thing but seeing it in person blows the mind. He has put together a fine running and great looking layout in a short period of time. When We got back to my place there was a package on the doorstep waiting for me. Bryan was very kind and went and got it for me. I was watching him like a hawk though when he did that to make sure he brought it into the kitchen and not the trunk of his car LOL. I showed him what I had done so far on my module and after he told me he would not be able to do any work on his till Monday I knew I now had a window of opportunity to get ahead of him. Well on the Waxhaw Divusion, I managed to set, level and align the second bridge on the upper level brabch line. In this town Area, the station building, the woodland scemics model serves as the depot on this track.

Have the track aligned and roadbed in place. Tommorrow  I will screw down the tracks in this area and think abou, maybe actually run power leads to this area.

Yes it is a nice bridge It is well detailed both above and below. The Bridge is by MTH Railking. It is their cat no. 40-1031. They call it a steel arch bridge. It is about 30 inches long and comes with 3 support piers. One of the piers has a circuit board to accept a connection from a lamp on the bridge which I think is supposed to flash. That pier has a pair of wires to make an electrical connection. I bought this at a train show in Charlotte NC about 8 years ago. It was missing a support pier.

The MTH RTR catalog seems to show this bridge and there have been several cat numbers over the years. I suspect the difference is in the colors, whether or not the third support pier is in the package and whether it has the flashing light.

Morning Guys, Its 3:25 AM here and its the only way I can get caught up with all the post here! LOL

Brian, Thank you! Love the close up, nice shot!

Jim, Looks like you had a great group of scouts! WOW 50, when I was a kid in scouts there were maybe 8 or 9 of us! LOL The engine looks wonderful and the whistle and smoke are a perfect touch! Nicely done!

Johan, great looking lumber car and your lumber yard/storage build is very cool!

Paul 2, I am glad you and Bryan had a great day and you got to see a wonderful layout! It sure was nice of Bryan to carry your package in for you, but then again he probably thought it was a nice jester for an older friend. The diecast vehicles looks great, what are you going to put on the flatbed trucks? Your Module is coming right along, looks like you might be passing Bryan! LOL

Dave, Thank you. I would have to say that 70% of all my rolling stock is kadee and 50% of my engines. That is because I have gotten some new to me engines and that I also have to order more Kadee's. I really like the looks of them and have less problems of them coming apart!

Lirr, wonderful looking bridge! I sure hope its going somewhere!

Mark, I am glad you made it there and back safely! I bet it was nice to compare notes with someone! LOL I know you probably felt guilty watching the kids move and load all that stuff, but remember they are YOUNG! LOL

Bob, WOW thats quite an undertaking, good luck! It sure is going to be a sharp looking train when your done!

I would like to thank everyone that commented on the new engine to me, its going to take a little bit to put kadee's on it and while I have it apart I might give it a fixed piolet! Its Sunday and there is nothing for me to do this morning so I think I will get some train time before the Seahawks game! Then the HVAC guys is coming back as he didn't get much done yesterday.

Well I hope everyone has a great day and your teams do well except  the BROWNS! LOL

Technically,  this happened yesterday and it's not on my layout (but could be on a future layout). 👍

I purchased my first real G Scale train (not the plastic toy kits sold in mainline stores) at my SFRM model train club's train show yesterday.

It's an LGB starter set along with 16 pieces of 24-inch straights and I putzed around with it on the back porch & grass yesterday.  I can see myself going down that rabbit hole of trains in the backyard real quick. 🤣

Kevin, you should talk to Larry Sr. He has a nice garden railway in his yard that he did a couple years ago! It looks really nice!

Oh yes, that rabbit hole is deep.  Once you're in, there's a challenge getting out.  But what fun it is while you are down there.  I bought my first LGB starter set in 1991.  Gave up my Lionel and for the next twenty-five years played trains in the garden.  Got back into Lionel in 2015 and am still waiting to build my dream layout.  Oh, I still have my garden railway but it is more garden and less trains nowadays.

Unlike others who model main line railroads in the garden, I am among the group of a more whimsical nature, but still believable.

If you're in the Southeastern PA area, drop me a line, we'd love to have you visit.  But wait until the weather is warm again.....LOL
