Welcome back Johan. The engine looks great. I just bought the same one (minus the weathering ), should have it later this week.

Nice work on the yard Chris.

Kevin- the Hudson is my all time favorite steamer. Unfortunately they don't fit the curves on my layout.

Bob

Bob. Thank you very much.🤝

Bob. After couple months it's fill and looking a much better. The doctor say after six months  it's working like a earlier.

When i fall the kneecap moves about 12cm up and all the knee clips ruptured. After the knee operation a only new thing inside my knee is a metal wire. I must use also a orthosis by the end of this month.

Johan

love everyone's pictures and progress.

I am starting to get really busy with Cub Scouts.  I am my sons Webelos Den Leader, my 4th year of being a Den Leader.  It is so much fun and rewarding.

I am also the parade float chair.   We will be marching in a holiday parade the weekend before Thanksgiving.   We are building a "Polar Express" float.   We will be building a 10 foot long steam locomotive.  I plan to use a real air whistle hooked to a compressor while on the parade route!

I do plan to work on the layout tomorrow.

LEAPINLARRY. Thank you.

Johan

Morning guys, Its been almost a week from my last visit and there has been so much going on! I was 3 pages behind and took me a little to catch up. I have to say there has been some wonderful work being done and I would like to comment on everyone but that is to much for me and I really don't have the time this morning. I have to get the deck done before the rain is here for the winter. The CEO says there is no hurry, but she doesn't understand the longer it take me the longer I am away from my train room. LOL

I do want to say a few things though. Chris A. Wonderful work on the sidings. Looks wonderful. Lee Nice job on the piggybacks! Mitch way to spend time educating the kids, looks like a lot of fun. Johan, Nice weathering and I hope the Knee heals soon. Larry thanks for sharing the pictures of your latest layout visit. Just an amazing layout! You are right about being busy with outside work. Brian as always great photos and nice group of pictures for Lew. Lew Sorry you couldn't get upstairs to check on your newly place station, but the stairs look good! LOL

Well I am off to try and get more of the deck done. It is spose to rain, thunder and lighting on Sunday so that maybe my next train room day, I have a TV in there so I can watch the Hawks and run trains at the same time.

Oh I almost forgot, Bob, Sorry about both your teams! I think your right, you might just want to run trains! LOL

Well Tomorrow is Friday and if I don't get back here before then I sure hope everyone has a great weekend and Please find some time to have fun with your trains!

Leapin Larry:   Those layout photos are unbelievable, thanks for sharing.

Mike G:  thanks for your kind comments....   Too bad that deck interrupted the layout build,  I would have thought the She Shed would have kept you in the clear till 2020....

Johan (Bar GP7 #63),  I tried sending you an email as I can't seem to figure out how to send you a PM through the forum, says I am not "authorized" ?     I had a question, actually looking for some pointers, on weathering some Red/White and Blue BAR 40 foot boxcars.  I know I have seen pictures of some of yours here on the forum and they looked really good !    Maybe my  email got picked off by the spam filter....   Chris A

Chris A. Thanks for the information. I can try a send email for you tomorrow, when i wake up.

Johan

Johan, I'm glad the knee is on the mend!  The weathering job looks great!

Larry, Thank you for posting the great photographs of Farmer John's layout!  It kind of engulfs the train operator/viewer!!

Lew, Buffy has done a nice job up there.  Too bad she is stuck until the paint dries!!

Brian, More great photographs!

Bill, That isn't a bad idea to stay where it is cool and do some shopping!!

Started to put out some vehicles and trees today.   Just wanted to get a sense of what will go where.

I will finish wiring up the track tonight and hope to start ballasting in the next week or so.

Not sure if I am sold on the trees.  They are the Christmas Village type you can get at Joanne's or Michael's.  I do have a bunch of them and plan to "finish" the layout using them.  In the future I will build my own trees and replace the village type 1 by 1.
