As we are preparing to (sort of) complete the first section of the Corry and Columbus and are reaching the first passing siding, I was wondering if anyone else planned to or does use signals on their layout and if so what various kinds are in use? We are preparing to install logic rails infrared block system and are using dwarf position light signals(I know, not prototypical, but I grew up along the PRR)

We are going to try one block with Atlas and one with Logic Rail to see how we like them....right now, tending towards the logic rail.

We use them on our club layout

Very nicely done! When I helped my late brother in the past with his layout, it was still the "bulb era" the LED's make quite a difference......are you using ATlas' control system or Custom Signal's?

I am not familiar with Logic Rail, will have to go check those out. Atlas and Custom Signals are the same system. Custom Signals uses Atlas for their basic system, they just expand on it with more options and accessories.

If you are interested, here are a couple very good tutorials from ericstrains:

Atlas Signals 1

Atlas Signals 2

Jon, I am planning a run down there in the spring when they re-open. I've never been there. MY daughter and I have some West Penn items that we acquired that we plan to donate..and take a ride
