guys your getting confused i believe. please refer to the opening thread on this post. its not what you would like to see MADE ,it's about your opinion. its asking who's product would you buy. currently which products excite you the most right no\w. me i would buy products produced by LIONEL AND LIONEL PRODUCTS PRODUCED FOR THE LCCA

THANKS

LOUIE

Well Lou, in the accessory department in Lionel's current catalog, I really don't see anything really new. The smoke fluid loader is Mike Reagan's accessory from the TAS days, and the operating fright dock is too close to the Freight transfer warehouse that MTH has offered. Nice stuff to be sure, but just not 'exciting' The LCCA has come up with some accessory ideas that sound fun.

I guess I don't understand what feedback you are looking for.

Well, I like the swinging bell, and the whistle steam effect a lot.  I'd love to have more - maybe animation of the crew on locos -- see them moved around, an animated conductor passenger car where the conductor opens the door and steps out to the edge as it slows, etc. -- all hopefully a bit better "animation" than, say, the lone ranger having a shoot out, etc.,

once they develop stuff like this, they can paint and label it in a zillion roadnames and resell it much - that's on my mind here -- something they could make money with I think

I would buy products from both, now I don't know if I would buy the same item type from both.

Case in point I ordered the culvert loader & unloader at beginning of last year. Then when Vol. 2 came out with the Bethlehem Steel editions I bought both of those because they appealed better to me. And maybe I had some personal feelings for them since I did work for Bethlehem Steel for a short time and my dad worked for their RR and they are about 2 miles away from my home.

But if those were made in any other name I most likely would not have bought them. And Lionel's Accessories are the main reason that 95% of my collection is just Lionel.

THATS IT. THANK YOU LOUIE

I'd like to see an Ives-/Lionel 1616 set (1694 B+B+B electric and 1695-1697 cars) with a combination (combine/combo) car and a dining car, plus steps and nameplates.

The cars could also come with another locomotive. Combine a modern locomotive with tinplate cars. Span two eras.

These long, sleek and elegant cars hold their own with modern trains. Here is a photo of a MTH Tinplate Traditions 1616 set in a meet with MTH Premier Reading T-1 2102 pulling SGL Lines 2000-series semistreamlined ("blimp") coaches.

Hi Lou, I like everything the LCCA puts out. Each item is well thought out and there is almost always something that makes each offering unique.

My problem is money. I am forced to pick and chose what I can and cannot afford. With my son starting college next year I am forced to keep my eye on that gold ring.

As for Lionel, I like most of what they offer though I have to admit I'm not to hot on the Tianic set. None the less I'm still hot on Lionel so I wish I could buy most of the items they produce but see above priority for why I can not.

But after it's all said and done and Mike is through his first four years, watch out!
