Late fifties experimental light weight train power;  FM Speed Merchants, both New Haven and Boston & Maine versions and the talgo sets to go with them. Likewise those Train-X Baldwin-Maybach diesel-hydraulics in the NYC blue & yellow or NH McGinnis scheme is way past due too.

I want the tier 4 et44ac Lionel is making in its starter sets to be made into a scale, legacy version.

gas electrics such as Edwards,  GE, etc.

A Santa Fe 2-10-2 would be nice, preferably the 3800 class.

I've said this before on the Forum. AMTRAK ACS-64 Cities Sprinter northeast corridor electric locomotive. It is a significant locomotive - the modern replacement for the PRR GG1.

I would like MTH to do a Missouri Pacific E6/7/8 with matching passenger cars (Texas Eagle!).  They haven't done a Mopac cab unit for 10 years.  They've only done two modern diesel Mopac in PS3.  That's it.  Two!  Come on!

Any locomotive with correct paint and does not self destruct after running 6 feet down the track.

It would be great if MTH would make some European (preferably French) locomotives again.

Lionel has been "close-but-no-cigar" with these wheel configurations. 

ACS 64  and a R1. Love the electrics. I wish they would had done the FF2 again.

Affordable, conventionally operated steam, diesel, and electric that will run on 031 and 042 curves for the majority of people with 4X8 layouts.

Hey, not all of us can afford or run thousand dollar engines that can't take less than 072.
