What's your favorite model you own?
Mine is my brand new MTH Premier CN U1F 4-8-2 Mountain Type #6069 (pictured below)
Still need to get some rolling stock for her, but even just sitting here on my desk, her beauty speaks for itself.

Mine would be my 1976 mpc Santa Fe F3. It's missing horns, lenses, and front decal. Has plenty of dings. I remember every ding I gave it as I played with it as a child.
I love the SD40 but my S3 northern #261 is my favorite
Believe it or not, my favorite engine is a basic 4-4-2 that came in a 6-30018 Pennsylvania Flyer RTR set.

Whew - decisions, decisions. Have been paring down the collection this past year due to lack of room to display more than a hand full of items.
One favorite would have to be these Atlas GM&Os that I lowered the fuel tanks on thanks to Mario's excellent adapters.
Others are some K-Line PRR F3's (partially visible below) and even a BL HO PRR T1
Lionel's Vision Line scale Hudson takes the cake every time.

That engine is beautiful. I have it also. I spent the extra $100 and got the set with the passenger cars.
My SDIV GENSET The prototype had to get painted the same colors as Genesee, and Wyoming. The MTH version is the correct version and runs like a champ

I would have gotten the set, but I don't think it is or has been available at my local train store for a long time. I am just as happy to have the engine though.
Although I will be talking to the owner of the store to see what he would recommend to pull behind her. I already have a Alberta Heritage Fund Grain car, and I am looking to get a few more to replicate #6060 and her run from Jasper to Vancouver in '86

Wow! Yours is the best answer and has real heart. I wish that I still had the Lionel Missouri Pacific 205 that I had as a child at Christmas in 1957.
I would have to say it is the LCT 400E that my wife gave me for my 60th, earlier this year. It is Black with Brass trim and has PS3!

Mine is still CN 6153. Probably because it was the first loco I bashed from a Lionel Berkshire. Since this pic was taken she has had a rebuild and drive-wheel swap. I have a CN passenger train that she can haul.
My favorites would be all PW versions of WB SF F-3's that I have. I have a set of Williams, MTH from 2005, and Lionel. Lionel Legacy Silver CB&Q F-3's. I guess all of my F-3's no matter who makes them.
I like my diesel engines best, such as Lionel Legacy SD70ACe's. However, after careful thought, I have to admit that my VL Big Boy is by far my favorite. It was not my favorite immediately after I received it, but after running quite frequently in the last few months, it is the most impressive locomotive I have seen; not only for its looks, but also for its operational performance. The Big Boy also is the most admired by all of my guests.

Add me to the VL BB list. It's what sold me to go all command. I almost like running the 0-6-0 switcher better as it can go on my O36, and I just love the whistle on it.

2-8-4 Berkshire L&N 1970 (1986) Paid way too much for it but you power up and it smokes and runs like a sewing machine.

If I could only keep one engine it would be my MTH Premier Southern Railway Kanawha #2716.It's gorgeous and the real 2716 has sentimental memories to me. I switched from HO to O when I discovered MTH had done the engine.

My MTH Premier Yellowstone is my favorite locomotive.
My dad's 1954 Lionel Texas Special was & forever will be my favorite model train of all time for me. It just means so much. It's my link to him & my own childhood. Every time I run it, that old 2245 still looks, sounds, smells, & feels just like it did all those years ago when it ran around the Xmas tree back at home.
