I'm going to be installing a fan driven smoke unit in a K-Line Crusader that I have Upgraded to railsounds and ERR Cruise. I am also going to be using the Super Chuffer from Gunrunner John. What fan driven smoke unit would you recommend using?

The Sunset Smoke unit is fan drive with high and low speeds to support chuffing direct without the use of additional electronics. These can be bought through RoyzTrains.com
If you have John’s stuff already, a MTH PS2 smoke unit with a TMCC smoke resistor is the simplest to install/ wire.....small package, and wiring is already isolated, only need one resistor for smoke, ....use the front set of holes ( closet to stack ) burry the the other holes with solder.....follow John’s directions for the rest.....pretty simple....

I use the MTH steam smoke units, I have used them for several K-Line Crusader upgrades. As pat says, I put a single 20 ohm resistor in the MTH unit.
Another neat option for the Crusader is automatic ground lights, the Chuff-Generator provides that option, they are on when stopped or going less than about 10 scale MPH, then they automatically turn off. The large skirt is an excellent place to put the LED's, they really look very cool.
