Anybody else see a new look for email notifications????
More " improvements "by Crowdstack I guess.

I know. I don't like them either.
Yes I noticed. I like the new format. On another topic Alan Or Rich said Crowdstack pulled an unexpected update. Just like the forced Windows updates! 😄
They changed...

Not when it is change for change's sake. I always hated the first 6 months after a new program manager came on board.
Ron, Yes, I am glad I am now retired and don’t have to put up with constant change at work any more.
I really like the new format. It stands out from other email notifications and give a preview of the email.

Now someone is talking! The email notification is easier to pick through On a smart phone because the topic is first, then the person’s name.
I like “Changed” I put French’s Classic Yellow Mustard on my “Changed” Makes for a great lunch.

When I open the new format in Gmail, I don't see the senders name. All that appears is the thread title and then the body of the message. I consider that a step backwards. Not everyone accesses the forum with their phone.
The screenshot I posted was from my Samsung phone. It doesn't look any better in Gmail.
What I really miss goes back a few updates, they used to show the content of the post that was liked.
Bob, I do agree completely that I miss the content of the post that was liked. 👍🏻 I guess there is nothing OGR can do other than provide feedback to Crowdstack if they think it is worthwhile to do so.
This appears to be Crowdstack tinkering around because they have nothing better to do. Too much free time on their hands.
Probably time to turn off notifications, they're getting useless anyway.
Agreed Mark. I'm not faulting OGR and the crew at all. I know this is out of their control.
I think Rich's reply says it all.
Well I just received this email notification. So it looks like they are showing content of liked message again! 👍🏻👍🏻 I did copy/paste. I don’t know how to do a screenshot

Your reply to This OGR Magazine Online Forum: Arnold, I agree I really like the format of the OGR Forum. It is very logical, the search function works well if you are willing to spend a little time, and you get notifications of posts in topics of interest. Private messaging works well, and I could go on and on. The design is great in my opinion! Liked by Arnold D. Cribari. |

For what it is worth, you as users can share your thoughts on these changes with Crowdstack as I have in the past. Sometimes they listen, sometimes they don't.

We're, meaning OGRR, is not Crowdstack's only customer.

That's for sure! Even though we have over 20,000 members and serve 8 to 12 million page views per month, we are one of their smaller customers!
However, I think we are their oldest customer. We've been with them for decades. I am in a discussion about that now with the folks at Crowdstack. It is down to only two companies, and I think we're going to win this one.

How come with Rich's last post I hear the fight music from Star Trek?
