Definition of "Dodgers" - The "Dodgers" team name is only correct when the location of Dodgers is used with the qualifying definition: "Brooklyn Dodgers". Thus used, the term "Dodgers" has the correct interpretation.

This mid-twentieth century born mid-western kid from the KC area well remembers the name of Brooklyn-born Sandy Koufax and his exploits as a Dodger. Sadly, Brooklyn-born Sandy Koufax was removed from his beloved homeland as his beloved Brooklyn Dodgers were forcibly relocated to some unremarked town on the west coast somewhere.

hey Ben....

nice to hear from you.  Hope u guys are all doing OK.    Been a Mets and Phillies fan when i was back east...but been in CA for 15 years now....  I wish there was a little more continuity in rosters from one season to the next.  Dodgers havent been too bad.

Roster continuity went out with free agency, good for the players as far as making money, but for the old team concept as we use to know it, fugetaboutit.

Went to many games at Ebbits Field, when they left for the coast I became a Yankee fan
