This is the 4th time I have seen used Fastrack Earthen bumpers sell for more than MSRP [as of the 2011 Lionel catalog]. What gives? IS there a shortage? IT's not like this is a one shot run rare item like a Natty Boy Reefer!

I've talked to a couple of local dealers that haven't received any for quite some time.  I picked up a set of lighted bumpers yesterday and noticed that none of the earthen were in stock.  I called around and at least locally, they are getting harder to find.  The large online dealers likely have a pile of them, but once they are gone, it's hard to tell what might happen.

I think some folks either ,don't know how/where to find the bigger dealers that have this stuff in stock at good prices, or just assume its a "good deal" because of ebay. I seen a few legacy systems going for over $350, thats silly cause if you wait you can get one for $299 once they're delivered Thats why its good to subscribe to this mag, and even that other one. Their advertisements are the easiest way to find out were to get stuff.

I think they may be referencing the MSRP of $4.79 a piece, or thereabouts, which would put the total at around $300 or more.

I have frequently recommended to forum members to sell their FasTrack on eBay because it fetches so much.

It's nice to sell it here on the buy-sell, but to maximize your return, eBay is where it's at.  Often retail or better, plus shipping!

I do buy FasTrack on eBay, but only in very large lots when the total price gets out of reach of many but I can win it at a wholesale price(including shipping of course).
