the 1015 was iss. between 1956 & 1960 & like new cond. $45 I have two and payed less than $10 for them

Exactly. No bashing sponsors makes some sense but it isn't always clear where the line is there either.
My intention was not to bash Ebay. 
Most sellers are doing the right thing. I just don't like people being taken advantage of whether by intention or otherwise.
So, on the positive side, I've learned to to the following on Ebay to have a better chance of making a good purchase:
Do research. Know what you are looking for.
Read the fine print, such as no returns, shipping rates, etc.
Compare prices with other sellers. Also, look at the retail price. Prices at train shows.
Read feedback.
Be patient.
Look at all the pictures...carefully....
