The issue is that surge suppressors May attenuate the signal sent to the ground wiring in your house. The ground wiring, the third wire in the house wiring, is utilized as the antenna to transmit the signal to the engines.

I use surge outlet strips with my Legacy and have no problems. It’s best just to try what you would like to use. Chances are great that there will be no problems.

I doubt that anyone thinks of that, but yes the ground wire wherever it goes in the house wiring as well as connected extension cords is ground wire antenna wire. The best way to add ground wire antenna is to lay it over the area where the engines run. Running it along side the track is not optimal.
