I have my small square Christmas platform out downstairs while I sort out what I will set up for Christmas this year. I have the senses covered with a nice whiskey, the smell of the PW ozone, and the sounds of the post war Lionel set going round and round.
Anyone else enjoy this combination?
Tonight is Blanton's bourbon and a 675 pulling freight.

A little Basil Haydens or Knob Creek here as I tune up an MTH engine.
There's a cooler full of Natty Boh that resides in my train room. Some times I just need to go pop a cool one, and blow some Beer scented smoke with one of my MTH steamers. It does take some discipline to nurse two cases of Natty Boh between TCA ED York meets. I was down to one can last September...
Southern Comfort fan here. Don't judge me.
Single malt scotch here. A JW Black never disappoints either. 
A PW 622 or ALCO pulling some cars for the visual.

If you can find it, try the Basil Hayden rye, or the basil Hayden two by two rye. They both pair well with ozone.

I NEVER drink while in uniform. 
I sure am glad I don't have to wear a uniform for anything.

Johnny Blue is also good, should you be able to pick some up at a reasonable price (cheapest place to pick up a bottle I have found is in St.Thomas

I always bring a bottle of single malt over for John S. when we meet up at the NJ HiRailers. The boy’s say “it’s a peace offering from the British!” LOL
Although next time we visit John insists we have a session and crack open a bottle

Thanks, Jeff. Well, you could tell the wife that, when finished, a shelf like this one is COMPLETELY out of the way of everyone and nearly everything. I've posted several times on how to do one. I have pics and video. Let me know....

Scotch, in any variety or age is definitely an acquired taste, but definitely not mine. I often give quality Scotch as gifts, so I indirectly support the product! Some of the prices on well aged Scotch can evoke "sticker shock"! Definitely, and probably, a sipping beverage! ☺

A fellow Scotch drinker after my own heart. A good cigar, Scotch and the sound of the trains. Pure bliss.
My poison was old Jack, doc said I had to give it up if I wanted to reach 72 he said with Diabetes that will give me to much sugar he said. Doctors what do they know.
