Sponsored by the Cuyahoga Valley S Gauge Association and held at the Holiday Inn Strongsville.

Some highlights this year are tours of downtown Cleveland and surrounding areas on Thursday, dealer hall and clinics Friday & Saturday, and a special banquet Friday evening with dishes prepared using recipes from the golden era of dining cars on the B&O.

Go to cvsga.com for more information and the registration form!

See you there!

For what it's worth, I'll be there with the Southeastern Michigan S Gauger's sectional layout, and a few things to sell.  I plan on bringing my Thomas set plus a few other things to run.  Maybe my Flyonel C&O Berk, if I can get it to run reliably, along with a LOOONNNGG C&O consist.  Stop by and say "hi".  The avatar is me

(added 4-25)  The Berk's smoke unit quit.  A little wisp of smoke at speed.  The fan works when powered and the heating element works.  The electronics controlling the pulsing of the fan quit.  I found out the fan works by taking the shell off, disconnecting the fan and powering it separately with a 1.5v battery.  So, now I'm waiting to hear from the dealer I bought it from.  He's probably sick of hearing from me.  It's been back for repairs once already.  I'll bring a few Gilbert locomotives.  They run and SMOKE!

Looking forward to the event, the banquet and camaraderie.

Just a reminder.  The festivities at the Spring S Spree start tomorrow night with two layout tours.  One is AF and the other High Rail.

Friday and Saturday is the opening of the dealer hall, club layouts, and the clinics.  Don't forget the tasty B&O Dining Car experience at the banquet Friday night.

See the schedule at the link above for more details.

Hope to see you there!

Just wanted to share experience at the S spree today. Met ALOT of great people and got lots of great advice. Also, scored a few REALLY good finds today.

Ben, I would have made you and Rusty proud...I was able to get my hands on about 7 or 8 PRS acf covered hoppers!!! .....that wasn't the highlight though. My wife ended up surprising me with a OVERLAND MODELS brass SD60 Norfolk Southern. What a site that thing is too....I had a great time and meet some very nice people today.

Ron of American Models displayed a sample of a new product at the Spree today - a vista dome Budd car.  I was told the car will be available in all the road names they produce except Illinois Central and Central of Georgia.  Delivery is scheduled for summer.  In addition to being lighted, the car has a full interior.

The AM Budd domes look really sweet with some passengers in the dome.  Since yesterday, a few folk seem to have boarded to take in the view as the cars made there way back to Detroit this afternoon.    I took a picture, but my camera phone just didn't do it justice so I didn't post it.

Well, the Spree is now over and I have to say as usual I had another tremendous experience.  It was great to see so much S product and so many S clubs, layouts, and modellers in one place.  There were a few glitches, but overall the event went smoothly.  The banquet with dishes prepared from B&O Diner Car recipes was outstanding and very tasty.  One attendee who is also a contributor to this board (who shall remain nameless) even went up for seconds and thirds!  I've only been attending this event for a handful of years now, but I always enjoy it and learn lots of new things while seeing old friends and making new ones.

Hope to "S"ee you at an "S" event "S"ometime "S"oon!
