With all the other manufacturer's having their own forum, why doesn't 3rd Rail have one?  All sorts of topics about production past and present that could be discussed.  Also, Scott knows how it is to work in Asia better than anyone on this forum.  Great stories to tell there no doubt as well as some horrifying ones!

I fully agree!  May I suggest that you post this exact question on the Forum Tech Support Forum???

I think Jonathan's idea at the top is a good one. As for this sub-forum, I would rename it the "Modelling in Three-Rail Scale" forum. That was the original idea when it started as a sub-forum about a dozen years ago. It was a place to talk about pushing farther the trend toward more scale equipment, such as by fixing pilots and using more scale-like (typically Kadee) couplers. The idea was to encourage that trend, encourage greater knowledge of the prototype, and for "Three-Rail Scalers" in turn to encourage the manufacturers toward even more prototype fidelity. ("My Premier diesel's smoke unit doesn't work" wasn't really a Three-Rail Scale topic). Sunset Third Rail is the manufacturer that comes closest to those ideals, and it's natural to talk about Scott's products here. But we have Lionel, MTH, and Atlas O sub-forums, so why not have a separate Sunset/Third Rail forum too?

Probably because of the name of the company half of the questions would end up here and then you'll get a lot of complaining about it. LOL!

I agree that a 3rd Rail Manufacturer Forum section would be useful.

Marty hit the nail on the head....this is the reason.  However, perhaps Scott might want to chime in.  Maybe we could use the "Sunset GGD" name for his forum.  Just not sure everyone would realize that "3-rd Rail" is part of that company?  I am open to suggestions!
