Wifi Unit no TIU signal

Both the TIU and the Wi-Fi appear to be powered up.  I would take a look at the cable between the TIU and the Wi-Fi.  Also, using the app, check to see what, if any, TIU it is trying find.

Dan, is the USB cable standard meaning if I have another 2.0 can I try it or did MTH customize it?

It is a standard USB cable but one end is USB B plug.  You might have one around.  You usually find them on computer peripheral devices like a printer.  It is unlikely that the cable just died.  Unplug both ends and plug it back in.  Since everything was working and suddenly doesn’t work, I would be looking at my software.  Shut them both down then start the TIU then start the Wi-Fi.  Look at system setting and see if it is trying to connect to your TIU.

To get to system setting, from the Home screen tap "more" on the bottom right.  Now select Advanced Features.

I tried swapping with another usb cord and like you thought its not the issue.   When I went to the app and went to tiu settings is just says no active tiu found.

Is there a fuse on the usb port on the tiu that might have blown?

To the best of my knowledge the 4 fuses in the TIU are for the for power output channels; so no.  Do you have a remote?  Is it working?

Are you getting power to the rails?

No only the app on the phone.

Yes I am.

Wondering if you tried to reset the WIU. Did you recently try to add a new engine to the system right before the system started malfunctioning?

No the last time I used it was on my HO track.   I put it away for about 4 months and tried it on my O gauge track.  Different power supplies obviously but nothing else was different.

Is there any way to test the TIU independently?  I do have one of the old traditional 750s controllers but never hooked it up to the tiu if its even possible.

Should I try to run the wifi unit through the serial port on the TIU?
