Maybe they could do a virtual open house???

I'd be in for that!

My mind is racing forward to all that could be done. (Special YouTube or Zoom)
- Special intros from their staff
- Hosting guest speakers (Virtual)
--> LCCA leadership roundtable
--> What (great) things people have done with Lionel as a theme.
- How they (Lionel) dealt with COVID and what lessons were learned
--> How will they see continued business in the "COVID" world
- Impact of MTH leaving the market and possible impact to Lionel (opportunities??)
- Position and plans with manufacturing in China
- Trends and demands they are seeing in the product line they offer.
- Discussion on supporting brick and mortar and more virtual distributors, repair stations, etc.
- Other???

Hey everyone - What would you like to hear or see?

Aside from them probably cordially suggesting a happy retirement to Mike, I highly doubt any of the items I left in the quote would be discussed.  Most companies would consider such topic proprietary to how their business operates.  Not something you publicly announce in an open forum to lay all your business dynamics on the table (for your remaining competitors too).

Even if  it was to end up becoming reality (the Lionel point of view I suggest, not MTH leaving the market - that seems pretty solid), I doubt very much Lionel would state openly that the result of MTH leaving the market is that they can take the opportunity to spend less on R&D as their major competitor is no longer a viable alternate option for their customers to spend their hobby dollars.

They've acknowledged some level of getting away from China in the past (assembled in USA, Romania for Milk Cars, ZW-L in Malaysia as examples), but they still have enough there, I doubt any announcement of "we hear you, and we are totally getting out" would be forthcoming at any time in the near future.
