Does the Williams 40608 0 gauge Southern Pacific Baldwin #2374 have a switch under the right side of cab to lock in forward.  I have the B&O #1357 which has the switch but my A.T.&S.F. #464 does not.  I don't want to purchase the Southern Pacific unless I can lock it in forward.  Appreciate any help I can get before purchasing.  Thanks.

Bobby,

My SP 2374 sure does.  I took a pic of the underside of the cab and instructions.

How are you enjoying your Williams Baldwin(s) after a bit more than a years.       I see from another thread several posters generally prefer the "smoking capabilities" of the MTH and Lionel steamers.

As my first train set around the Christmas tree recedes farther into the rear view mirror, a little less smoke, at times, has been a bit refreshing!

Of course, being able to shut the smoke unit off, plus excellent smoke generation,  provides much greater flexibility.  Even better for some Lionel steamers that allow you to control the smoke generation.

Great to know the differences in smoke generation, though, and, the added very informed opinions are alway helpful!

I really like my B&O.  Smoke just pours out for a minute or so.  It doesn't chuff.  But I still like it, especially the looks.  Pulling power is OK.  Occasionally it stalls going over a switch slowly or at least the headlight blinks.  Pickup roller spread issue over some switches.  I tested it on Fastrack and Marx switches.  Not a deal breaker.
