I am looking for a powered Williams E-7 locomotive in any road name. I am also looking for a Williams Union Pacific E-7 dummy B unit.

Hey Scott, Sorry it to so long to get back to you. Yes I would like pictures of the C&O Marquette and any history you could share. Thanks in advance.

Good Luck finding a "B" Unit, as I've been looking and asking for years, and No Luck, but with this said, it's for the "L & N " Passenger version......
I have the L&N AA pair. Beautiful set. Had the B unit as well but the ABA was too long for my use at the time so I sold it.
May have the UP B unit you are looking for (I think it is a MTH Premiere unit however - great color with silver trucks) but I'll have to do some digging...
You don't just need an E's A motor(s) & chassis do you?
I'd just hate to see that PM hacked or repainted when there are so many other more common schemes out there. Paint,SF, NYC, or Penn., lol
Actually, I have a Union Pacific E-7 powered A and dummy A. I want to power up the dummy A and was going to purchase a powered A and just switch the chassis. That is my thought on the matter. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
A single Williams powered anything will usually haul more cars than most of us will put behind them anyway..
Williams EP-5 and PA-1 uses same trucks and can be used as donors.
I like powered units much better than dummies too. Even if it is "overkill", its also a lot of power, and that can be fun in itself.
I'll be eyeballing for a chassis, so raid it? Sure. Scott wants it sold I'm sure. But please don't trash that shell without your giving it a chance to sell after you play Frankenstein.
. . . And Scott's post vanished again....? This happened before I think or I might have already had it myself.
I'll keep an eye and look back here for a DELETE edit to the title.
Good luck on your hunts everyone.
Thank you.
C.SAM Thanks for your reply. Would love to see UP B unit if you find it. Let me know.
Adriatic, actually I do just need a Williams E-7 chassis, powered trucks and motors. If you have one or see one let me know. Thanks!

Do you actually need the chassis? Can you use a Williams power kit? It takes a dummy loco and makes it into a powered loco. All the work is accomplished with a Phillips screwdriver. No soldering required.
Here's a kit that is way over priced, IMO. This picture is just for information purposes. This kit pictured is for rear wheel blind. The kit for the E-7 is center wheel blind.
Thanks for the reply. I could do kits if the price was right. My dummy E-7 has a great chassis. I will be checking on them. Thanks for the help. Great idea.
Check your axle for a gear. Some Williams dummies dont have the axle gear on the axle.
It should have splines for the gear either way
Spot on. No gears on the dummy axles at all.
