Hi guys,

So my son has a Williams F7 AB set with a powered A loco with he has been running on his layout as a conventional engine.  It runs without sounds but to my surprise when I opened it up it apparently has some sort of control board and what looks like a sound chip.  I took pictures so maybe you can help me figure out if it's a Proto DCS (?) or some other board....  My son has a few engines running TMCC and he likes that control system better than conventional or the Lionel remote control he has on other engines.  Can I convert this engine to TMCC?IMG_3265IMG_3266

Hi John

I'm going to try the conversion myself but I'm gathering info on how to do it.  I won't put a sound board in now as my son will need to save up for that.  So I thought I would be buying the AC Commander.  Headlight bulbs are 12volt so I think lighting will not need replacing.

Just out of curiosity how much do you charge for such conversions?  I have a cab forward and a Pioneer Zephyr to convert as well.

Any help and advice is appreciated.

Thanks

Roger Elliott
