Williams GP38 questions

The WbB GP-38 is one of the newer locos offered. The sound is much improved but if you need MTH Proto 3.0 level sound buy MTH. I like it but not a heavy sound guy. 

The 38 is a simple solid loco. 

Mario's......bought a number of items from them....including my most expensive loco I own a MTH 2-10-4 PRR.....always good service.

I have one as well as Williams F3s and GP-9s.  Quiet, reliable, good pullers.  I agree with AMCDAVE.  Get one from Mario.  Good prices, free shipping, terrific customer service.

One of Weaver's last offering was a GP38-2.  Some models may be available on the secondary market.  A good bit more money, new from Weaver, than the Williams model.

That paint scheme looks great on the locomotive.  I want one.

MTH, K-line, Weaver all made these with more prototypical handrails.

If you get the MTH PS1 it will have remote couplers.

The Weaver model pictured also had remote couplers.  Only thing a little off, the truck side rail assemblies, (pictured silver) were plastic.  What was left of these models and the RS3 also pictured eventually went to Atlas and were sold via their Trainman competitive line.
