The WBB quad hoppers ride just a tad bit higher on their trucks than the Lionel hoppers. This is more noticeable when you have the covered hopper roof attached to the car than when running it with the coal load. Despite the slight height difference, I've had no issues with coupling these into a train of Lionel cars and having them stay together. I'll also note that a WBB quad hopper roof will fit onto a Lionel quad hopper, so length wise, they are the same.

About my only "bone to pick" with the WBB quads is that they have two brake wheels, one on each end. Beyond that, these are nice, inexpensive models to purchase and operate.
