Hello everyone!

I'm new to O but not to model trains. I just picked up a Williams GP38 and have a question about the sound. To me it sounds like the horn and bell are playing too slow. Imagine a 45RPM record played at 33 1/3. I really noticed this when a person on this board posted a video review of their Williams 44 tonner. It sounded great! So is this a common problem? Is there a capacitor on the sound board that needs to charge up? BTW, I'm controlling this with an MTH Z-750.

Thanks!

Jeff

Hi Jeff, Heres a video with my Williams GP 38 with true blast horn. Yours should sound like mine although it wont be near as loud as mine as I have modified the horn. Turning the volume pot up doesnt do a lot as far as volume. Mine has that loud echoing sound because I built my own speaker housing to reflect the sound. Now the horn has that tunnel echo sound instead of a deep muffled dead sound.
