could i wire 2 different sets of wires to the same posts on the same transformer?
the wires are from different lockons, and the transformer is a multi control 027 110 RW watt trainmaster
i am using the same wires as the ones that come in a starter set from the 027 era (lionel wires)

If they are connected to the same Loop of track just different areas, then absolutely. If not, then it might be an issue. Need to know more.

i wish to connect them to exactly the opposite sides of the track, then thread them under the track, and to the posts on the transformer
Then no problem.
The easiest method is to use wire terminal strips, (1 for hot lead, 1 for ground lead), and run 16 or 18 gauge wire from transformer, as the main feed. Then you can run individual wires from theses strips, to however many lock-ons you want to use. The terminal strips come in different configurations of the number of connections you want. Doing it this way, makes a neater setup, and can be expanded to larger layouts, needing more feeders.
